Minimum Qualifications
Candidates qualifying to teach Introductory/General Chemistry lectures must have a minimum of a Master’s degree with 18 or more graduate semester hours in chemistry from a regionally accredited institution. Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience teaching lecture and laboratories is desired.

Teaching loads may include day or evening hours and/or satellite campuses. Lectures typically meet two days per week. Laboratories meet one day per week. Daytime and evening classes are available.

Candidates for teaching Anatomy and Physiology must have graduate coursework that enables teaching of Anatomy and Physiology courses according to HAPS standards. Candidates with professional degrees (M.D., D.O., D.C., D.D.S., D.V.M.) will meet this criterion. Candidates for teaching Microbiology must have substantive graduate coursework in microbiology and laboratory aseptic techniques. Previous experience teaching lecture and laboratories is desired. Master’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university and active unencumbered Tennessee RN license and educational specialization and/or experience in area of teaching assignment.

Doctoral degree in discipline or a qualifying field from a regionally accredited college or university or a Master’s degree in any field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in discipline or a qualifying field from a regionally accredited college or university by the application date. Three years of Community College teaching experience.&nbsp;

<li>Collaborate collegially with faculty, administration and staff to support the students, strategic plan, goals and business operations of the college; Work collegially as part of both discipline-specific and multidisciplinary teams</li>
<li>Stay abreast of current developments in the teaching discipline including scholarship, creative research, disciplinary and interdisciplinary activities that focus on the boundaries of knowledge, community-based scholarship, creative activities, and the development of cutting-edge teaching approaches</li>
<li>Teach up to 12credit hours per semester as assigned</li>
<li>Maintain availability for meetings with students and colleagues as needed throughout the semester.</li>
