Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Rheumatologist to work in a Level II Trauma Center serving as the tertiary referral center for people statewide. This unique opportunity offers a diverse patient population, a breathtaking geographical setting, and a cohesive medical team.
Location: Anchorage, AK
Responsibilities:
Manage outpatients in clinic (8-14 patients per day)
Handle adult inpatient consults
Perform joint injections and joint aspirations
Conduct bedside MSK ultrasound when available
Participate in six field clinics per year to other regions of Alaska
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care

Schedule:
Mon- Fri: Four 10- hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts

Level II Trauma Center providing care to outpatients and inpatients
Qualifications & Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
Alaska medical license (or ability to obtain)
Experienced in managing both outpatient and inpatient cases
Skilled in performing joint injections, joint aspirations, and bedside MSK ultrasound
Culturally sensitive and adaptable to working with diverse populations
Willing to travel for field clinics in other regions of Alaska
