This is a full-time grant funded position reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Enrollment Management. The Upward Bound Program Director is responsible for the development and administration of the Upward Bound Program, including hiring, training, supervising and evaluating project staff, fiscal management, project development and management, and liaison to the target area communities. The Upward Bound Director will also provide direct services to Upward Bound participants. 
Job Duties

Job Duties

<li>Design and maintain publication and webpage information for tuition/fees and other cashier processes.</li>
<li>Create and submit 1098T forms to students and the IRS.</li>
<li>Monitor control settings and coordinate upgrading and management of the college’s cashiering software.</li>
<li>Verify feeds from cashiering software packages are received in the Banner system and deposits and reconciliations are performed accurately and timely.</li>
<li>Ensure all college receipting functions are compliant.</li>
<li>Perform database management of Banner Student AR rule and validation tables.</li>
<li>Supervise the maintenance of detail code, third party contract, fee waiver and exemptions tables. Set up refund and fee assessment tables for each term.</li>
<li>Perform testing with registration module to ensure accurate assessment of student tuition and fees.</li>
<li>Supervise the disbursement of student refunds due to students as a result of adjustments in tuition and fee charges or awarding of local, state or federal financial aid programs. Ensure funds are disbursed timely in accordance to federal and state regulations.</li>
<li>Research problems and assist students regarding their accounts.</li>
<li>Special projects and other assignments as assigned.</li>

Minimum Qualifications

<li>Mange the annual accounts receivable write-off to the State of TN.</li>
<li>Review appeal recommendations.</li>
<li>Maintain current reconciliation of student grants.</li>
<li>Ensure contracts are billed timely.</li>
<li>Oversee processing of third-party authorizations to student accounts.</li>
<li>Oversee preparation, reconciliation and distribution of vendor invoices for student and non-student charges.</li>
<li>Ensure all current operating procedures are documented and comply with Tennessee Board of Regents guidelines and Federal, State and Local regulations.</li>
<li>Ensure accurate and timely research and response to student complaints.</li>
<li>Ensure invoices for vendor payments for external collection are accurate and timely.</li>
<li>Oversee timely and thorough research of payments presented for processing.</li>
<li>Research problems and assist students regarding their accounts.</li>
<li>Support the Athletic Department to ensure coverage of ticket sales during Basketball Season.</li>

Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited college 
</li>
<li>Three (3) years of recent experience in financial aid, accounting, auditing, collections or finance. 
</li>

Preferred Qualifications

<li>Master’s Degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited college

This is a full-time support position reporting to the Department Chair, Administration.
