The RN will assist the physician performing the biopsy, and provide continuous patient monitoring during the procedure. The RN will ensure hemostasis is achieved and provide appropriate site care and bandaging after the procedure. The Adult Internal and Pulmonary Medicine Services Floor provides a more intensive level of care and monitoring including progressive care, telemetry, and medical/surgical. As a part of this unit, the RN serves as an important component of the interdisciplinary progressive care team.
