Significant uncertainties exist, including how ENSO will change with increasing global warming and the impact of the projected slowdown of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation on regional climates in eastern North America and western Europe. Furthermore, increasing ocean temperatures are altering the distribution of marine life, including phytoplankton, zooplankton, and fish. Changes in ocean biology affect sea spray aerosol, a key driver of extra-tropical mixed-phase clouds, which are responsible for the largest uncertainties in current equilibrium climate sensitivity estimates. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all essential functions, duties and skills required of personnel so classified. &nbsp; Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties at any time. &nbsp;Job Description: The RF/microwave Amplifier Design Engineer is an experienced professional with the capability to design discrete transistor and MMIC based low noise and medium power amplifiers implemented in both hybrid and surface mount technologies. &nbsp;Able to synthesize and develop new amplifier components using CAE analysis tools and has hands-on bench troubleshooting and test skills. &nbsp;The individual effectively communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department, customers, and suppliers. &nbsp;Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.&nbsp; &nbsp;Possesses practical project management skills and will work under general supervision to achieve technical performance while meeting schedule and cost operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.Essential Functions:<ul><li>Design, develop, test and support production of discrete and MMIC based low noise and medium power amplifiers implemented in both hybrid and surface mount technologies.</li><li>Conceptualize and develop new RF and microwave circuits, packages, and products.</li><li>Perform linear and nonlinear circuit simulations of microwave active and passive circuits.</li><li>Provide direction on hi-reliability specifications, i.e., the screening and testing for our products to be compliant.</li><li>Develop specifications for microwave components and subassemblies.</li><li>Generate design review presentations and test reports.</li><li>Design for ease of manufacturing.</li><li>Estimate and track project schedules and labor for engineering developments.</li><li>Assist in the writing of technical proposals.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 4 years&nbsp;prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years&nbsp;prior related experience.</li><li>A minimum of 2 years designing and simulating low noise amplifiers.</li><li>Experience designing RF/Microwave passive components, e.g., couplers, power dividers and attenuators.</li><li>Ability to manage projects and interface to other areas.</li><li>Experience designing products for manufacturing.</li><li>Proficient in linear CAE and experience with non-linear CAE.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work under a microscope in a clean room environment to test and tune circuits.</li><li>Experienced user of microwave test equipment; including network analyzers, noise figure analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters and signal generators.</li><li>Familiarity with device semiconductors, such as GaAs and GaN.</li><li>Ability to gain Secret Level Security Clearance.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communications skills.</li></ul>&nbsp;Preferred Additional Skills:<ul><li>Familiarity with MIL specifications, such as MIL-PRF-38534 and MIL-STD-202.</li><li>Hands-on experience testing and aligning fine pitch circuits under a microscope.</li><li>Design experience with oscillators, synthesizers, and PIN diode circuits.</li><li>Knowledge/application of filter synthesis and design.</li><li>System analysis experience comprising both cascade and spur analysis.</li><li>Proficient use of Keysight ADS, Keysight RFPro, and/or Ansys HFSS simulation tools.</li><li>Perform EM simulations of microwave housings, boards, transitions, and passive circuits.</li><li>Use of CAD tools such as AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD.</li><li>Design/test experience of circuits operating through 26GHz is favored, with operation up through 40GHz further preferred.</li><li>Experience with both chip and wire hybrid and PCB surface mount manufacturing methods.</li><li>Experience using wire bonders.</li></ul>Please be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance. Completes assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service, as well as preventative maintenance on the property by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect or problem, and making repairs in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.&nbsp;2. Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the pre-move-out inspection, creating a “punch” list of maintenance work needed, scheduling vendors and contractors as needed, obtaining needed supplies and materials, completing all maintenance tasks, and inspecting completed work.&nbsp;3. Follows procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items from the property’s maintenance department by tracking inventory used, returning unused items to the established location, and notifying the maintenance supervisor about re-ordering needs.&nbsp;4. Completes documentation and other paperwork in a timely, accurate, and complete fashion so that service requests can be appropriately documented and tracked.&nbsp;5. Assists in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris, pressure-washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.&nbsp;6. Supports cost-cutting and expense control programs by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible, not being wasteful with materials and supplies, and practicing the correct use for tools and equipment.&nbsp; &nbsp;Other Responsibilities:&nbsp; 1.
