Campus Location: WSCC-Sevier County Campus - Sevier County Campus (Employees are assigned to a “home” location but may occasionally or regularly be required to work at other WSCC locations.)
Job Purpose:&nbsp;The overall purpose of the Instructor of English is to teach freshman composition (including dual enrollment at local high schools and at various campuses as needed), sophomore literature, learning support reading and writing, special interest courses, and independent study courses. 
Essential Job Functions:

<li>Teach day and/or evening classes, both on and off campus in conventional and in alternate delivery modes (e.g., web-based, virtual, accelerated schedule).</li>
<li>Regularly teach dual enrollment classes at area high schools or on campus.</li>
<li>Participate in curriculum development, student recruiting and advising, departmental meetings and college boards and committees and perform all duties outlined in Guidelines for Faculty WSCC Policy 06:01:01.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Perform other related duties as required.</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications:

<li>Master’s Degree with a minimum of 18 credit hours in English from a regionally accredited institution. 
</li>
<li>Higher education teaching experience in writing required; combination of high school and higher education desirable. 
</li>
<li>Experience in teaching writing in a variety of modalities: conventional, hybrid, online, DVC. 
</li>
<li>Ability to communicate and develop effective interpersonal relationships with faculty, staff, and students.

Position Summary: To provide quality instruction for student learning and to maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom. The major emphasis will be placed on teaching and evaluating students in the classroom and laboratories.

Job Duties: The part-time Floor Covering Installation Adjunct Instructor will be responsible for the following duties:

Position Summary:&nbsp;The overall purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for the college’s Dual Enrollment Program. Essential Functions:
50% Serve as the frontline customer service contact for Student Services.

<li>Assist students/parents with all onboarding/enrollment questions as it pertains to Dual Enrollment. Assess student needs and provide direct assistance to students in helping them apply to Pellissippi State, enroll in classes, collect documents, apply for funding and help them understand the appropriate forms, processes, and procedures.</li>
<li>Provide individual assistance to students including but not limited to analyzing and troubleshooting individual needs and assisting with on-line self-service accounts (ex., view/change their personal information, and apply for the Dual Enrollment Grant).</li>
<li>Provide information to students, parents, staff, and high school partners regarding all enrollment and dual enrollment funding questions and/or requirements, including but not limited to myPellissippi navigation, transcripts, payments, testing, secure document upload, alerts and general information about the college and events in person, via telephone, email, US mail, and on-line using extensive knowledge of FERPA, College policy, state, and federal Regulations.</li>
<li>Collect, scan, download and update documents via various forms of electronic or non-electronic submission.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
25% Utilize applicable software programs/websites such as: myPellissippi, Banner (INB and SSB), Argos, BDMS, FAST, ETC, Studentaid.gov, TSAC portal, etc. and provide guidance to students/parents on how to navigate the applicable websites and assist students with accessing account information including:&nbsp; interpreting registration holds, providing prerequisite overrides and clarifying dual enrollment eligibility requirements. Organize, maintain, document, and archive students’ documents within BANNER.
20% Educate prospective dual enrollment students and parents by presenting at events throughout the year. Provide presentations and answer questions regarding admissions requirements, DE grant application processes, and steps for enrolling, etc.

Job Requirements:

Job Summary
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Knoxville is inviting applications for the full-time position of Associate Instructor of Diesel Powered Equipment Technology at our main campus in Knoxville. This role requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, with a daily schedule of 7.5 hours from Monday to Friday, typically from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Consideration will be given to a comparable combination of education and directly related experience. • Must possess a high degree of knowledge of all areas involved in the diesel field • Must have a minimum of 3 years of related work experience in the Diesel Field. • Current ASE Service Technician Certifications are required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Post-secondary training of a diploma or associate's degree in a related field. • ASE Master Technician in Medium/Heavy Duty Repair • Teaching experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Must have a strong hands-on technical background in all aspects of diesel technology. • Must possess the organizational and communications skills necessary to be an effective teacher. • Must commit to remain current in the field of Diesel Technology. • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Must possess computer skills and ability to utilize technology to enhance teaching.
