• A technical certificate or diploma and/or general building maintenance experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of tools, materials, and equipment used in preventive and general maintenance, custodial duties, and grounds-keeping, along with familiarity with proper sanitation, maintenance, and safety protocols relevant to the role. Reading comprehension skills are necessary for understanding safety data sheets, operating instructions, and equipment manuals. The candidate should be able to follow written and oral instructions accurately and demonstrate a mature attitude with a reliable and dependable work ethic. Communication skills are essential for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues. Basic computer skills and a valid Tennessee driver's license with the ability to drive are also necessary.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions 
The Facilities Support Associate will work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. The role requires frequent physical activity, including lifting, bending, stooping, and climbing. The candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require repetitive movements. Additionally, the position involves navigating campus environments, which include walking up and down stairs and traversing uneven surfaces. During inclement weather, the role will also involve cleaning and salting outdoor areas to ensure safety. Exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and noise from equipment is expected. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is essential.
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience according to Tennessee Board of Regents guidelines, between $27,130 - $32,813.

Position Summary: To provide quality instruction for student learning and to maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom. The major emphasis will be placed on teaching and evaluating students in the classroom and laboratories.

Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Planning and teaching classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi. 2. Supervising the study and learning activities of students assigned. 3. Submitting requests through the department head, program coordinator, or lead teacher for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids. 4. Evaluating the academic progress of students. 5. Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook. 6. Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required. 7. Scheduling two office hours. For extenuating circumstances in which office hours cannot be scheduled, the adjunct faculty member must submit a written plan to the Dean describing how students can access the instructor. Office hours are not paid during the summer session.
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the history teaching field
Availability/Closing Date: This posting is not a guarantee of an open position. Applications for adjunct faculty positions are accepted continuously and reviewed by the department if openings are available. Adjuncts are hired on an as-needed basis. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer.       Adjunct Instructor – History
    

Title: Lifelong Learning Instructor: Temporary Part-Time

Position Summary: Do you have a passion for sharing your expertise, craft or hobby with others? Pellissippi State’s noncredit lifelong learning program offers personal enrichment classes for the community with a wide range of topics, including: fitness, languages, musical instruments, arts and crafts, wellness, history, and more. Class participants are community members ages 18+. Some of the many benefits of teaching a lifelong learning class include working with engaged and enthusiastic adult learners and flexible class scheduling.
 Our noncredit class schedule is released twice a year: spring/summer and fall. Classes can be as short as 90 minutes or up to 20 hours in length. Instructors are expected to have a high level of expertise in the subject of their proposed class, and some experience in teaching or training others. While compensation can vary depending on the type of class being offered, noncredit instructors are generally paid starting at either $40 per class hour or 60 percent of total course fees. Lifelong learning instructors work on a temporary, part-time contract.

Applications that do not indicate a topic you are interested in teaching will not be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• 60% Delivery of educational instruction • 35% Curriculum development • 5% Complete online trainings required of all PSCC employees
