MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS for Clinical Nursing Applicants

FUNCTION OF THE JOB: 
The Recruiter works under the supervision of the Coordinator of Student Services to promote educational and career pathways to dual credit, traditional, and non-traditional (adult learners). This role builds and maintains relationships with schools, community partners, and local organizations within the service area, and represents the college at recruitment events, campus tours, and community engagements. Responsibilities involve approximately 70% travel and 30% office work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Recruit dual credit, traditional, and adult learners by maintaining an assigned territory and building relationships with high schools and community partners</li>
<li>Represent the college at school visits, community events, regional/county fairs, and other recruitment activities</li>
<li>Communicate with prospective and current students through phone, email, in person, website inquiries, and social media platforms</li>
<li>Deliver presentations in small and large group settings to promote programs and explain the enrollment process</li>
<li>Schedule and coordinate campus tours, open houses, signing days, and career-related events</li>

<li>Coordinate disciplinary matters with administration and the Student Services Coordinator.</li>
<li>Monitor and request necessary program supplies; make recommendations for instructional materials.</li>
<li>Adhere to the school calendar and daily class schedule; start and end classes on time.</li>
<li>Conduct student surveys each trimester and participate in scheduled staff climate surveys.</li>
<li>Check and respond to emails twice daily.</li>
<li>Coordinate absences with the VP of Operations to align with student breaks.</li>
<li>Work a maximum of 29 hours per week.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned by administration.</li>

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent (HiSET acceptable).</li>
<li>Work experience in the area being taught.</li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years of approved work experience in the occupation preferred.</li>
<li>Technical teaching experience preferred.</li>
<li>Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, or diploma from an accredited technical training program in the related field is a plus.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Safety Data Sheet (SDS) labeling and policy a plus.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications required for teaching.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written).</li>
<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, industry partners, and the public.</li>
<li>Ability to exercise good judgment, plan and direct work, and express ideas clearly and concisely.</li>
<li>Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs. and move around the teaching area to demonstrate and perform occupational tasks (with or without accommodation).</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and tact in all interactions.</li>
<li>OSHA 10 certification preferred.</li>

General Function:&nbsp;
Provide high quality effective instruction in accordance with the catalog description and the approved course syllabus; Facilitate student learning, and perform evaluations of student learning for all assigned classes, using each course’s standard course outline as a guide.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in discipline or a qualifying field from a regionally accredited college or university or a Master’s degree in any field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in discipline or a qualifying field from a regionally accredited college or university by the application date.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Teach courses as assigned in accordance with the catalog description and the approved course syllabus; Teach dual enrollment classes at area high school as assigned; Travel to multiple campuses as assigned</li>
<li>Collaborate collegially with faculty, Department Lead, and curriculum chair about curricular and programmatic issues and needs</li>
<li>Collaborate collegially with faculty, administration and staff to support the students, strategic plan, goals and business operations of the college; Work collegially as part of both discipline-specific and multidisciplinary teams</li>
<li>Stay abreast of current developments in the teaching discipline including scholarship, creative research, disciplinary and interdisciplinary activities that focus on the boundaries of knowledge, community-based scholarship, creative activities, and the development of cutting-edge teaching approaches</li>
