This position will report directly to the Plant Engineer.&nbsp;Your Day-to-Day:<ul><li>Ability to lead and perform electrical engineering for all aspects of projects with limited guidance.</li><li>Assist with design, integration, installation, and support of manufacturing equipment, control systems, and data acquisition systems.&nbsp; This includes new installations and existing equipment/system upgrades.</li><li>Modify electrical control circuits and PLC/HMI programs.</li><li>Work with the maintenance team in troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, control systems, and data acquisition breakdowns.</li><li>Partner with Health, Safety, and Environmental team to ensure compliance with standards, practices, and policies for pollution control, installation, modification, quality control, testing, operating procedure, inspection, and maintenance of equipment, according to engineering principles and safety regulations.</li><li>Responsible for maintenance and upgrades for site electrical infrastructure and power distribution.</li><li>Prepares and reviews project technical electrical specifications for equipment and processes.</li><li>Ensure designs are implemented with accurate consideration for power management, process data collection systems interfaces, etc.</li><li>Determine root cause failure analysis and development of corrective action plans</li><li>Prepares and reviews technical electrical specifications for equipment and processes.</li><li>Assist facility with manufacturing operations as well as execution of electrical safety initiatives.</li><li>Systems analysis and troubleshooting.</li><li>Development of preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.</li><li>Maintenance planning and scheduling support.</li><li>Develop and lead plant expense and capital projects as required</li><li>Six Sigma, SPC, Lean, 5S, and TPM applications, sponsorship, and team development.</li><li>Compliance with all safety/environmental standards, and promotion of safe work practices.</li><li>Respond to maintenance issues with equipment and control systems in support of a 24/7 operation.</li></ul>What You Bring to the Team:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.</li><li>Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Experience in polymer science or textile manufacturing a plus.</li><li>Practical experience in Allen-Bradley AC variable speed drives.</li><li>Experience in maintenance, operation, troubleshooting and repair of PLC systems.</li><li>Solid knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI applications (including programming) along with communications within enterprise and control networked systems.</li><li>Experience with Industrial Database systems (WonderWare).</li><li>Experience in Sieman variable speed drives / European control schemes a plus</li><li>Knowledge of Siemens PLCs.</li><li>Experience in VMWare.</li><li>Knowledge of Servers and Thin Clients technology</li><li>Demonstrated ability to provide solutions to basic project and process engineering problems.</li><li>Six Sigma Certification a plus. Solid analytical ability to determine and develop solutions to moderately complex problems</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge in the application of the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace -- arc flash energy and shock hazards.</li><li>Demonstrated capabilities in working collaboratively with internal and external engineering resources.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in the engineering and implementation of 480V (Switchgear, Power Distribution Panel, Motor Control Center) and 4160V Power Distribution Systems.</li><li>Demonstrated project management skills.</li><li>Experience in electrical power distribution, equipment, protection and sizing</li><li>Excellent communications skills (verbal and written).</li><li>Proficient in computer applications and analysis of process data.</li><li>CAD (AutoCAD) experience and ability to read and interpret electrical and control drawings</li><li>Ability to visually inspect and troubleshoot electrical/process control systems</li><li>Ability to be physically mobile throughout the Spunbond Process (stairs, heat, noise)</li><li>Ability to safety lift material weights up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Ability to travel periodically, domestically and internationally.</li><li>Ability to work with extended hours as necessary to complete work assignments.</li><li>Ability to multi-task</li><li>Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Work environment is typical of a manufacturing facility; may be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.</li></ul>The position characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.&nbsp; Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Please Keep in Mind If you do not meet 100% of these requirements, we at JM still want to hear from you.
