This is an exciting opportunity to join a team dedicated to community safety and improving the transportation infrastructure by performing a variety of manual labor tasks and job duties.&nbsp;As a Maintenance Specialist 1, your duties will include:<ul><li>Street cleaning</li><li>Sanding and clearing of roadways</li><li>Transporting materials</li><li>Towing equipment</li><li>Applying pavement treatments</li><li>Maintaining drainage systems</li><li>Vegetation management</li><li>Right-of-way and shoulder maintenance</li><li>And a wide range of other diverse activities including emergency operations</li></ul>All positions require teamwork and the ability to perform strenuous manual labor outdoors in various weather extremes such as heat, cold, rain, storms, snow, floods, etc. Work shifts will be 4/10-hour days.Who We AreThe Multnomah County Transportation Division manages and preserves the County road infrastructure and provides a safe and efficient transportation system that supports economic and community vitality.
