Critical care has 8 beds and patients in this area range from trauma patients who have been resuscitated in the trauma area and need continuing care to patients in need of intensive care unit treatment such as septic patients or those receiving vasoactive infusions. The UK Level I Trauma Center has 8 beds capable of caring for the most complex injured patients.
