The Developer Enablement team will partner closely with Technology leaders to operationalize platforms (EA Playbook, SRE, One Amex, etc.), frameworks (Balance &amp; Control, Enterprise logging, Reliable transaction, etc.) and DX workstreams (Onboarding/Innersource, etc.) across Product and Technology. &nbsp;Responsible for creating knowledge-based information leveraging documentation-as-code practices to create comprehensive documentation to provide instructional information and support to the developer community in how to build software the Amex Way:<ul><li>Using writing skills to create reference materials that explain complex concepts and instructions in a digestible way for target audiences - in this case, application and software developers.</li><li>Gather technical information, determine scope and requirements, editing and proofreading content, communicating with stakeholders and collaborators, and managing multiple simultaneous projects.</li><li>Provides guidance in the development of written content, ensuring cohesive product narratives</li><li>Provides guidance in analyzing insights from cross-functional teams,&nbsp;ensuring that the team understands customer needs and incorporatesinsights to provide the best user experience</li><li>Provides guidance in maintaining alignment with writing style guidelines&nbsp;and standards to drive consistency, brand alignment, and content integrity</li><li>Proofreads and edits complex content for overall clarity, alignment with&nbsp;brand guidelines, and user experience objectives</li><li>Provides guidance to direct reports, junior colleagues, or those in other&nbsp;disciplines</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Has 5+ years of experience as a technical writer</li><li>Is more of a strategic thinker, less of a blank-filler</li><li>Clearly articulates how copy addresses objectives and solves problems</li><li>Is a champion for collaboration, early and often</li><li>Advocates for the user</li><li>Pivots quickly and supports a number of projects simultaneously</li><li>Exudes positivity, requires minimal supervision, and has a strong work ethic</li><li>Is an ambassador for UX writing, playing a key role in helping this growing team reach its potential</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Demonstrated understanding and experience with documentation-as-code methodologies and practices</li><li>Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and web development practices. </li><li>Experience with content management strategy planning and execution</li><li>Familiarity with software development processes and practices (SDLC, Pull Requests, Code Commits)</li></ul>Salary Range: $103,000.00 to $170,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
