The Continuous Improvement Specialist works directly with operations to drive positive change in our operation. This individual is responsible for engaging members of our team to solve problems and implement processes which prevent losses from reoccurring. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Engage the operations team in the development of standard work</li>

<li>Lead/facilitate Continuous Improvement brainstorming, prioritizing, or ideation sessions</li>

<li>Facilitate Corrective And Preventative Action (CAPA) reviews with area stakeholders to identify root causes and prevent reoccurrence of issues </li>

<li>Manage and drive productivity projects for the assigned functional area</li>
<li>Teach LEAN tools &amp; principles to team members throughout the organization</li>
<li>Utilize LEAN methodologies and problem-solving tools to drive a structured approach to continuous improvement. </li>
<li>Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the functional area assigned</li>
<li>Own productivity projects which will deliver dollars to the bottom line</li>
<li>Develop dashboards &amp; reports as a power user of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES)</li>
</ul>

<h2>Minimum Requirements:</h2>
<ul>
<li>2- 5 years’ experience in a Plant Operations, Engineering, or Continuous Improvement role or related capacity</li>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering, industrial science, business, or another relevant field with an emphasis on manufacturing</li>
</ul>
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
<ul>
<li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures</li>
<li>Knowledge of basic LEAN principles</li>

Forklift Operator (3rd Shift) - Mountville

<h2>Overview/Purpose: </h2>
Oversees the functions of the production line to maximize and maintain optimum efficiency. Operates sophisticated/complex types of electrical/motor driven machinery and is responsible to synchronize the various machinery components of the production line. Monitors incoming raw materials and packaging components to produce finish goods that meet food safety standards set forth. Communicates with line workers, QA and maintenance personnel to create a pleasant environment and promote good morale.
Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Conduct and record results for pre-start safety and sanitation inspections, pre-post operation form, HACCP forms if applicable, </li>
<li>Communicate with quality control’s line inspector to meet relevant standards of the quality control department.</li>
<li>Ensure raw ingredients are available and staged for the production run. Notify Production Supervisor/ Manager of any inaccuracies or deficiencies.</li>
<li>Consistently monitor key centerline setpoints for various pieces of equipment throughout processing. Investigate reasons of being out of ranges and work to resolve any issues identified.

<li>Support Fryer Boil out efforts if sanitation is not available (will be trained on chemical usage)</li>
<li>Communicate with Production Supervisor to determine planning department’s production run on appropriate production line, preventive maintenance schedule, and MCS.</li>
<li>Train employees: how to perform their job faster and more reliably and encourage employees with good ideas. Provide feedback to employees concerning mistakes made and ways to improve during the process, maintaining positive employee morale.</li>
<li>Continuous evaluations of process to improve efficiencies and cut cost.</li>
<li>Utilize Maintenance Work Request System to resolve equipment issues that are identified</li>
<li>Effectively execute shift handoff meetings where you provide detailed information for shift performance and issues that occurred.</li>
<li>Complete end of shift report with all needed information and send out to appropriate members of the leadership team.</li>
<li>Ensure company policies are carried out in production in a safe working environment.</li>

Production Lead (2nd shift) - Sensible

Basic Purpose: This position is responsible for training and directing the work activities of new hires for the packing area.

</ul>
Required Job Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Minimum two years’ experience in a production capacity or related role in a manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred</li>
<li>Completed packaging programming skills training</li>
<li>Proven strong safety record </li>
<li>Ability to work well with and command the respect of associates and team members</li>
<li>Ability to make simple math calculation &amp; measurements is required</li>
<li>Ability to read &amp; speak basic English </li>
<li>Bi-lingual with Spanish speaking and writing skills preferred</li>
<li>Effective communication skills with coworkers and supervisors</li>
<li>Possess manual dexterity to manipulate machinery </li>
<li>Must be able to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height on an intermittent basis</li>
<li>Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with internal and external customers</li>
<li>Understanding of basic principles of the SQF program and other food safety policies/procedure</li>
<li>Available to work overtime/weekend as needed</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements/Work Environment: 
<ul>
<li>The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. </li>

<li>Regularly required to work around operating equipment, stand, reach, pull, stoop and bend</li>

<li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand. The employee is frequently required to use their hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, use tools or controls, and climb or balance. </li>
<li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, low levels of toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electric shock and explosives. </li>
<li>The noise levels, in the work environment, can be high. Hearing protection is required.</li>
