POSITION SUMMARY This is a full-time faculty position responsible for preparing and delivering quality instruction on topics in Industrial Process Control Technology.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground day and evening, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, teach a minimum of 15 hours and hold office hours. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated course syllabi prior to the first day of class. JOB STANDARDS:
<ol>
<li>Graduate of an education program for surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency.
<ol>
<li>An Associate’s degree is required (preferred concentration in surgical technology) with the ability to complete a Bachelor’s degree within 3 years of hire.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree preferred.</li>
</ol>
</li>
<li>Possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).</li>
</ol>
CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE/EXPERIENCE:
<ol>
<li>Three years of documented experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.</li>
<li>This employee should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, good organizational skills, and be capable of handling multiple projects at one time.</li>
<li>To ensure that all faculty are proficient in oral and written English, the following guidelines are to be used during the selection process to evaluate candidates:

JOB LOCATION:&nbsp; The primary job location will consist of clinical facilities and institutions utilized by Pellissippi State Community College for surgical technology student experiences, and can include all site campuses.&nbsp;
