Job Summary:
The primary objective of this position is to promote, develop and manage the operation of the Springfield Center of Volunteer State Community College consistent with institutional goals and objectives.
Job Duties:
Collaborate with the President, Vice Presidents, and other members of the Leadership Team regarding strategic direction and planning for the Springfield Center. Provide overall leadership and management of the Springfield Center, overseeing daily operations and resources. Develops community partnerships and represents the College in the community, promoting the development of the Springfield Center and awareness of offerings. Serve as the College’s primary liaison in Robertson County, cultivating strong relationships with community leaders, businesses, nonprofits, public agencies, and industry groups. Partner with the Office of Marketing, Communications, and Media Services to promote the Springfield Center’s programs, events, and activities. Collaborates with the academic divisions and the Director of Dual Enrollment and Off-Campus Sites to develop and coordinate the schedule of classes at the Springfield Center and at dual enrollment sites in the region. Collaborates with Economic Development and Strategies in developing non-credit/business and industry/workforce development programs at the Center and at other locations in the area. Supervises the management of the physical facilities and equipment at the campus and coordinates with Gallatin campus staff as needed to ensure the proper maintenance and appearance of the facilities. Maintains regular contact with the essential offices and support services on Gallatin Campus to conduct the day-to-day business of the Center. Maintains a working knowledge of internal and external policies, guidelines, and procedures specific to the operation of a Center. Assists in the formulation of reports, analyses, studies, objectives, and strategies on enrollment, major trends, patterns, projections, etc. related to the Center. Participates in the ongoing activities and training, and other activities of the College, as required. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree. Two years supervisory experience in a higher education setting in the area of administration, teaching or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Education or closely related field. Knowledge of Banner Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Experience in higher education developing and coordinating various community, industry, and educational partnerships.

Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to coordinate the outreach and recruiting functions for JSCC following targeted markets identified in the SEM plan and responding quickly to new/emerging markets using direct recruitment strategies. To hold up-to-date and comprehensive information about the programs and services offered at JSCC. Supervise, train and coordinate recruiting staff, to provide a professional, informed and helpful approach to sharing details about JSCC opportunities and enrolling students. Provide guidance and leadership in regards to all efforts to recruit prospective students. To successfully collaborate with involved areas (admissions, dual enrollment, orientation, marketing) to provide clarity and nonduplication of effort when supporting new students at JSCC.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Collaborates with a variety of partners to improve enrollment.
<ul>
<li>Collaborates with the Marketing Department to promote JSCC in the district. Provides the strategies and forums to present information regarding JSCC programs and opportunities in person through presentations, events and other direct recruiting strategies.</li>
<li>Serves as the point of contact for any event specifically purposed for student recruitment and enrollment.</li>
<li>Creates and maintains effective channels of communication with high school administrators, parents, agency directors and staff, in order to effectively recruit students.</li>
<li>Administers new and creative methods to increase enrollment that directly impacts the college revenues, including directives on activities with partners in the region and state. Targeted recruitment and outreach strategies to a variety of populations such as Parents, Tennessee Promise and Tennessee Reconnect students, business and industry and Clients of social agencies.</li>
<li>Serves as a liaison to applicable external agencies, businesses, high schools, the community and general public, and internal departments for the purpose of facilitating student enrollment processes and resources.</li>
<li>Partners with high school counselors to share information about programs and services, and enrollment timelines for JSCC.</li>
<li>Directs the planning and staffing of outreach and recruitment activities and events.</li>
<li>Maintains current knowledge of JSCC programs and services in order to represent the college accurately and in a positive light.</li>
<li>Promotes low-cost, high-quality programs leading to certificates and degrees designed to put students in the workforce or on university campuses.</li>
<li>Create, innovate, and respond to changing needs of Potential Students as they explore and become familiar with campus, enroll, and negotiate college systems. Maintains current knowledge of transfer pathways credits and costs, can describe and support FAFSA application processes correctly, is aware of local foundation scholarships, and comprehends and supports JSCC application requirements.</li>
<li>Understands program features, processes and opportunities associated with Dual Enrollment. Understands and can explain State level programs designed to support students including Promise, Reconnect, Lottery scholarships, and Tennessee Higher Education Commission and Student Assistance Corporation for Dual Enrollment grants and payments.</li>
<li>Ensures recruitment staff manage their inquiry enrollment funnels and can effectively move students towards applying.</li>
<li>Ensures recruitment staff manage their application funnel and moving students from applied to accepted to enrolled.</li>
<li>Ensures recruitment staff are well informed, knowledgeable, professional and dependable as they speak for JSCC in the district and provide initial enrollment steps for prospective students and applicants.</li>
<li>Provides high quality, effective service through learning and continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Creates, maintains, and publishes a calendar of recruitment activities and widely distributes the Enrollment Deadline dates for students, parents, and agencies.</li>
<li>Maintains recruiter assignments by school for the purpose of travel assignments, call lists, dual enrollment support, and other items as needed.</li>
<li>Receives student rosters for Dual enrollment registration opportunities o Ensures student handbook accurately represents the enrollment processes and supports and keeps Enrollment Counselor Handbook updated.</li>
<li>Responsible for the coordination of outreach activities -such as campus tours or Promise and Financial Aid workshops- for all and any interested potential students in the district.</li>
<li>Supports the college enrollment goals as expressed in the SEM plan through providing appropriate time and attention to identified target populations.</li>
<li>Communicates needs for materials and support from Marketing in efforts to recruit a diversity of students as is called for in the JSCC Strategic Enrollment Management Plan.</li>
<li>Assists with admissions and facilitates checklist completion and build communications to help applicants move through the enrollment funnel.</li>
<li>Collaborates with Dual enrollment personnel and JSCC Advising personnel other stakeholders to develop orientation materials and opportunities to prepare student for success.</li>
<li>Creates outreach and enrollment processes for other targeted populations.</li>
<li>Embraces and leverages appropriate technology to accomplish job functions and account for job requirements.</li>
</ul>

<li>Administrative duties.
<ul>
<li>Collaborate to create messaging, materials and content for department’s use.</li>
<li>Prepare and administer budgets for program activities and services to maximize financial benefit to both the college and students.</li>
<li>Provides accountability for strategic planning efforts of the department.</li>
<li>Responds to other administrative requirements of reporting, managing, etc.</li>
<li>Hires, reviews, recommends development, retention or dismissal of Enrollment Counselor staff.&nbsp;</li>

Minimum Qualifications
•Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in business, marketing, social science, orrelated field •2-4 years of experience in sales, customer service, and/or office processes, or experience as a college recruiter, participant intake and personnel supervision
Preferred Qualifications
•Master’s Degree preferred •Strong sales and lead nurturing experience •Slate CRM experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•Knowledge of effective communication strategies and platforms, recruitment and outreachmethods and strategies, accountability tools, event management, and effective supervision andtraining, professional decorum. Analyze and resolve problems, systems understanding, planningand organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication skills includinglistening and public speaking, conflict resolution and customer service skills, motivate andinspire. Proficient with budgeting, planning and recordkeeping.

Pay Rate:&nbsp; $63,853 - $79,815 (Annual salary depending on eligible experience, which is defined by the current compensation plan.)
