Title: Instructor 12 Month/Director of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Education (Term)

Job Summary:
The Director is responsible for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Education program which grants technical certificates. The Director will lead, organize, supervise, manage, and implement all aspects of the program, including classroom and online course development and instruction, curriculum development, marketing, recruitment and advising of students, budgeting, and faculty supervision and support, and revision/modification of all program components as needed. Position includes teaching responsibilities, including clinical practicum and capstone courses. The Program Director holds a 12-month faculty position with release time each term based on the size of the program, as determined by the Dean and VPAA. This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction using integrative technologies. Faculty are expected to provide academic advising to students and participate in college, department, and community activities related to the College’s mission.
Job Duties:
Teach 38-42 TLE per year via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned with both teaching and approved release time included in this expectation. Typically, the EMS program director receives 6 TLE release time per term. Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment, and distance-based courses as required. Develop curriculum; evaluate and review credit and non-credit courses; develop online classes as needed. Evaluate and monitor progress to achieve goals and objectives (and those by any licensing, registering, or certifying agency as applicable); assist with affiliation and accreditation efforts. Recruit and advise students and support persistence/progression through graduation. Maintain office hours and availability to students. Complete required College trainings. Complete all required reports such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions and administer and return surveys by the required deadlines. Attend college, division, department, and faculty meetings. Serve on college and department committees. Attend professional development activities. Participate in community service. Ensure compliance with all Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) and College policies, guidelines, licensure requirements, and other state and federal guidelines. In addition to the typical faculty responsibilities above, the Director of EMS Education program is expected to: Direct, supervise, manage, and implement the overall operation of the EMS Education Program. Direct, supervise, and manage the Coordinator of Non-credit EMS Programs. Interview, hire, supervise, evaluate, and support continued development of program faculty ensuring adequate staffing for the program courses. Establish annual program goals including curriculum development, implementation, and assessment. Lead and coordinate all accreditation activities and documentation for the program, including but not limited to staying current with requirements and completing self-studies, site visits, and annual reports. Market the program, recruit and advise students into the program and provide academic and career advisement for prospective and current students. Coordinate an advisory committee to support the program, hold annual or semi-annual meetings, and ensure documentation of all advisory committee activities. Monitor and analyze data pertinent to students’ successful academic performance and ensure completion of VSCC’s Academic Program Review for EMS Education program. Complete and coordinate program’s TBR Academic Program Review. Manage online course delivery by ensuring all model courses are current. Manage textbooks including working with departmental committees during the review process, coordinating with publishers, negotiating purchase packages, and organizing demonstrations and training for electronic resources. Plan, conduct, and document regular departmental meetings. Oversee student complaint resolution by ensuring that student discipline and complaint policy and procedures are followed, meet with students and coordinate with the Dean and/or Student Services personnel in mediating resolution. Develop, promulgate, implement, and monitor policies and procedures related to program equipment and laboratories that are consistent with Vol State and TBR policy. Develop, monitor, and maintain department budgets. Maintain parts and supplies inventory, ordering parts and supplies and keeping related records. Recommend the purchase of new equipment and submit appropriate purchase and/or TAF requests following Vol State and department procedures. Network with industry personnel to assist in promotion of the college and its programs and the securing of guest speakers and adjunct faculty. Maintain the program accreditation through the Committee on Accreditation for Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Coordinate with clinical sites, including scheduling of students, facilitating orientation to sites, functioning as emergency contact, provide line of communications with clinical sites; Extensive travel required. Oversee use of facilities and equipment for day, evening, and weekend classes offered by the EMS Education program. Act as liaison between faculty, students, sponsoring agencies, local medical community, and state level certifying/licensing agency as needed. Orientation/training and supervision of clinical and capstone field internship preceptors. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution. Currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Tennessee Paramedic, without a history of revocation, denial, or suspension of licensure and meet the requirements established by the Commission on Allied of Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon recommendation from the Committee on Accreditation of Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP), and the Tennessee Department of Health Division of EMS. Licensed emergency care experience shall include a minimum of three years practice. Minimum of three (3) years practicing in the pre-hospital emergency environment or equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years in EMS education administration or, greater than three hundred (300) hours of EMS instruction. Administrative experience shall include a minimum of two years in EMS educational administration. Current endorsement in a Board approved trauma, cardiac, and pediatric course at the provider level. Documented education or experience in instructional methodology. Be knowledgeable about the current versions of the National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Education Standards and about evidenced-informed clinical practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree. Instructor of Board approved trauma, cardiac, and pediatric courses at the provider level.

Title: Assistant Director, Scholarships, Outreach, and Compliance
POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for developing and managing outreach events, managing institutional partnerships including scholarship funds, and directing the development, maintenance and monitoring of the College’s financial aid compliance program.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate legislative changes for potential impacts to the College and assist the Director in partnering with other institutional departments to respond to pending legislation that impacts the Office of Financial Aid or the College, including identifying regulatory changes and ensuring timely implementation of institutional procedures to ensure ongoing compliance. Lead a risk-based quality control program of the College’s financial aid performance to ensure compliance with regulatory compliance procedures. This includes transaction testing, reporting, deficiency tracking and remediation. Direct an ongoing regulatory training program for institutional partners to ensure regulatory awareness and operational effectiveness. Manage the financial aid operational and communication calendar and processes to ensure timely reporting.
Direct office workflows related to file processing, scanning, year-end and preparation and planning for upcoming fiscal year. Oversee Nashville State’s relationship with the EdAmerica Call Center for quality assurance and serve as the primary contact for referrals and escalations. Additionally handle the submission of training opportunities to EdAmerica. Collaborate with the Welcome Center on Financial Aid issues ensuring timely resolution. Lead the financial aid outreach efforts, by scheduling staff for events and workshops, organizing office-sponsored events, and keeping the financial aid webpage information up to date. Identify and implement process improvements within the financial aid office to increase student success, improve department efficiencies, reduce costs and streamline/simplify financial aid processes for students.
Manage the financial aid components of the CPOS (Course in Program of Study) including daily reports, and collaboration with Records office to resolve any complications. Serve as backup to the co-Assistant Director of Financial Aid, as needed but particularly with professional judgement, dependency overrides, homeless youth determinations, and R2T4s. Direct resolution of engagement reporting throughout the term and during end-of-term processing. Evaluate and determine appropriate resolution for any over awards, coordinate with other employees within the office to resolve. Coordinate with the Student Account &amp; Billing Office on the state aid fund account numbers needed for application of state aid on the Finance side. Coordinate with Records and Student Account &amp; Billing Offices on the resolution of duplicate student records in Banner. Supervise and train assigned office personnel, specifically the coordinators (5). Serve as a member of the SAP and IRP appeal committees.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree
Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in a financial aid office or at least one (1) year of experience in a financial aid office with sufficient NASFAA Professional Credentials to demonstrate required knowledge.
Experience in administering, awarding, and reconciling at least one state aid program (TN Education Lottery Scholarship, TN Reconnect, TN Promise, or TN Student Assistance Award)
Experience using federal EDE software processing websites (such as NSLDS, COD, FPP, etc.) and other financial aid related software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS NASFAA credentials
Prior experience using BANNER, ARGOS, Automic, Dynamic Forms, Xtender (BDM), FAST, and SLATE

Job Summary
Reporting to the Dean of Technologies, the Aviation Department Program Director is responsible for managing the FAA Airframe and Power Plant program, and coordinating with the FAA to meet Federal Aviation Regulations. Additionally, the director is responsible for teaching an average of 15 credit hours each semester with optional release time. As the site coordinator for the aviation hangar, the Program Director is responsible for ensuring the facility is well-maintained by submitting repair work orders and performing periodic facility inspections. They will also coordinate outreach programs as necessary.
