Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Plant Operations, the Assistant Director of Plant Operations and Maintenance is responsible for managing day-to-day maintenance operations and supervising maintenance employees across multiple campuses. The Assistant Director will maintain and update the automated preventive maintenance (PM) program and use the software to generate and assign scheduled PM work orders. The Assistant Director will also assign and coordinate the completion of unscheduled work orders as they are received. The Assistant Director will work cooperatively with all constituents of the college in all preventive and routine maintenance work, including the work of outside contractors.

POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Culinary Arts is a 9-month faculty position that, in collaboration with the Dean and Campus Director, provides the vision and leadership required to realize the mission of the CULA program. Primary administrative responsibilities include program development/management, budget development/management, purchasing of supplies and materials, maintaining programmatic accreditation/external partnerships and providing operational supervision to full and part time faculty and staff in the department. Instructional responsibilities require a strong culinary and hospitality services skill set and the ability to teach students effectively in an instructional environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops, evaluates, and continually improves academic courses and programs, working in collaboration with faculty, that are consistent with the College mission and strategic plan. Provides leadership to program curriculum development/revision including ensuring establishment of effective student learning outcomes and related assessment methods. Provides regular assessment and analysis of assessment to create institutional effectiveness and program specific goals for the improvement of student success on course learning outcomes. Participates in professional development opportunities to advance their own teaching and leadership skills and strategies. Teaches courses in culinary arts, apprenticeships, and internships. Establishes, expands, and supports dual enrollment courses in high school in conjunction with our dual enrollment coordinator. This position provides educational leadership for a unit of the college dedicated to the development, management, and administration of workforce and noncredit training and learning activities. The Director reports to and works in concert with the Vice President of Partnerships, Workforce and Southern Campuses to achieve the mission of the office and to promote economic, community, and personal development for citizens throughout the college’s nine-county service area.
Essential Functions
1. Lead Program Development
Direct the creation, marketing, and delivery of noncredit professional and personal development learning opportunities.
2. Foster External Partnerships
Build and maintain relationships with businesses, industries, government entities, economic developers, and communities within the college’s nine-county service area.
3. Assess Training Needs
Evaluate the training and service needs of businesses, industries, and community organizations. Serve as a resource to identify opportunities for the college to meet these needs through contract training or professional courses (credit or noncredit).
