This person will carry a portfolio of highly rated prospects and collaborate with colleagues to execute a fundraising strategy that includes qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship within their portfolios.The Director will develop and implement an annual and multi-year fundraising plan in collaboration with the FAS Development team to build and expand philanthropic support among non-alumni parents. Critical to success is a strong partnership with the Harvard College Fund’s Parent Engagement Program (PEP), a volunteer-driven annual giving and volunteer engagement effort and developing opportunities for synergy.This position requires a command of advanced fundraising principles, experience managing people and projects, a bias for making the ask, a high level of organization, professionalism, and a broad familiarity with the objectives of capital, endowment, and annual current-use fundraising. A key responsibility is the development and execution of comprehensive prospect strategies designed to secure six-, seven-, and eight-figure gifts from the assigned pool. Strategy is often set in conjunction with other officers in the FAS and University Development Offices. Annual portfolio metrics will be reviewed with the Senior Executive Director of Development, Major and Planned Gifts, and progress towards goals will be evaluated monthly.</li><li>As a member of the Major and Planned Gifts leadership team, the Director will coordinate with other senior members of the FAS development team to help further fundraising efficiency and efficacy with the non-alumni parent population. In coordination with the FAS senior staff, the Director will develop and implement moves-management processes to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major and principal donors. Job Description The Director of Strategic Operations will work closely with the Government Performance Lab's (GPL) Executive Director in a Chief of Staff-type role to translate the GPL’s strategic vision throughout the organization’s operations-- designing and implementing systems to improve GPL core functions in order to drive greater organizational impact. To this end, the Director of Strategic Operations will work closely with the Senior Director of Operations in leading a team overseeing the strategic direction of critical central functions including human capital, training, and staff and manager supports. Job-Specific Responsibilities: <ul><li>Develop and implement strategy: Work with the GPL Executive Director and leadership team to refine GPL’s strategy by leading special projects that may include: assessing and advancing the GPL’s impact in the field, improving the GPL’s strategic knowledge management and impact framework, and supporting development. Support the Executive Director in integrating strategic direction across GPL policy areas and strategic capabilities.&nbsp;<ul><li>Strategic knowledge management: Work closely with GPL Policy Leads and staff to translate strategic decisions into action, providing resources and support, and facilitating efficient engagement with the GPL Executive Director.
