Manager, Corporate Environmental

Howmet Aerospace Inc.’s Corporate EHS&amp;S organization has an immediate opening for a Senior Manager, Corporate Environmental. This position is responsible for providing environmental management leadership and regulatory/technical consulting services to Howmet locations and business units. The primary&nbsp;areas of focus include water management (i.e. water, stormwater, wastewater treatment), environmental metrics and sustainability disclosures, circular economy solutions support, and environmental compliance management.&nbsp; A&nbsp;working knowledge-level in other environmental disciplines (waste, chemical release, EPCRA, TSCA, transportation) is expected to provide consulting support.&nbsp; This position reports to the Director, Corporate Environmental and closely interacts with internal customers at the Corporate, BU, and location levels. Preferred location for this role is at Howmet’s Corporate Headquarters located in Pittsburgh, PA (remote candidates in the Eastern U.S. with aligned qualifications may be considered). Major activities / Key Challenges: <ul><li>Support plant, Business Unit (BU), and corporate programs in all environmental media with a primary focus on water, stormwater, and wastewater treatment.&nbsp; Conduct regulatory analysis and summaries on proposed/new regulations (primarily U.S.), as well as national, state and local permits.&nbsp; Assist locations with applying, obtaining, reviewing, and complying with environmental permits and associated plans (SWPPP and SPCC)</li><li>Lead the compilation, analysis and quality assurance of environmental metrics to support progress towards Corporate environmental sustainability targets. Contribute to internal and external Sustainability/ESG disclosures (e.g. CRSD, S&amp;P CSA, GRI, CDP, etc.) and external customer enquiries and mandates.&nbsp; Collect and communicate ESG success stories</li><li>Manage the environmental compliance management system.&nbsp; Work with locations and business unit environmental managers to ensure incidents are addressed in a timely manner through corrective actions with focus on root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.&nbsp; Prepare periodic reports on compliance trends</li><li>Provide technical and regulatory support services. &nbsp;in a highly competitive and rigorous cost environment. Build strong supportive professional relationships with internal customers. Identify and track emerging environmental issues and communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure potential impact to Howmet locations, businesses and regions are understood</li><li>Serve as a technical contact for specific Howmet mandated standards, environmental self-assessment tools and incident prevention/investigation programs. Help establish leading metrics for environmental sustainability performance</li><li>Develop and deliver environmental training and skill-building sessions to internal customers.
