DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:&nbsp;<ul><li>The Lead Therapist provides administrative oversight of clinical staff on an assigned unit. This will include task assignment, training, approving time off, and evaluation(s) of job performance.  This oversight needs to be in accordance with Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, Department of Health and Caron Policies.&nbsp;</li><li>Initiates/attends multi-disciplinary team meetings, case reviews, conflict resolutions, family conferences, consultations, etc., as needed to facilitate achievement of programmatic and individual goals consistent with recovery.&nbsp;</li><li>Partners with the Alumni Department for various alumni events on clinical topics.&nbsp;</li><li>Conducts other clinical speaking engagements as requested.&nbsp;</li><li>Responsible for the overall coordination of a patient’s care while in residential services, including the integration of family sessions, school expectations, communication with referral sources, assessment of patient progress and communication to the clinical team regarding special treatment needs and procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Develops and monitors measurable goals for those they supervise.&nbsp; Conducts performance evaluations and provides continuous and regular feedback on performance including achievement of timely documentation, competencies and goals.&nbsp;</li><li>Meets with 4-6 individuals supervised by Lead Therapist weekly for supervision.&nbsp;</li><li>Manages direct report schedules, task assignments, time sheets and time out of office to ensure appropriate coverage.&nbsp;</li><li>Completes initial patient assessments such as psychosocial assessment, gathering patient goals and completing family assessments for assigned cases.&nbsp;</li><li>Utilizes a multi-disciplinary treatment team to determine appropriate level of care and to identify behavioral health needs which can be treated in Caron’s continuum and those that require external placement.&nbsp;</li><li>Facilitates group therapy and individual counseling.&nbsp;</li><li>Assesses family dynamics, recommending the family education program and possible ongoing family therapy.&nbsp; This also includes individual family therapy as needed.&nbsp;</li><li>Develops comprehensive continuing care plans that include input from the clinical referents, internal referents, multi-disciplinary treatment teams, family and patients.&nbsp;</li><li>Works within the ethical constraints of the certified addiction counselor, and other professional or organizational ethical standards as they apply to the position.&nbsp;</li><li>Documents treatment plans, progress notes, treatment plan updates, case consultations, telephone calls and discharge summaries in the patient records in accordance with Caron policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Partners with the Alumni Department to speak at various alumni events on clinical topics.&nbsp;</li><li>Conducts other clinical speaking engagements as requested.&nbsp;</li><li>Conducts chart reviews when assigned.&nbsp;</li><li>Responsible for partial caseload dependent on census.&nbsp;</li><li>Responsible for on-call and after-hours matters.&nbsp;</li><li>This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the duties or tasks that may be required or assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:&nbsp;The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.&nbsp; Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.&nbsp;<ul><li>Must be able to work extended hours and travel as needed&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to deliver presentations that may be both multiple times and for lengthy time periods&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to move throughout Caron properties including a hilly and multi-facility campus&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to ascend and descend stairs&nbsp;</li><li>This is a safety sensitive position&nbsp;</li></ul>EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;<ul><li>Master's degree in human services required.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Licensure required.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated leadership experience required. (Supervision of interns, co-facilitate group supervision, help train new staff, reach out to potential admissions, managing tracking sheet, i.e.)&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>A minimum of 5 years working in the behavioral health field required.&nbsp;</li><li>Specialty training preferred (i.e.: MI, DBT, Art Therapy, MBSR, CPT, CBT, Trauma and Rainbow Advocacy)&nbsp;</li><li>Specialized certifications in addiction required (i.e.: CAADC, CADC, CAS, CAD).&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in lifespan developmental issues for their respective populations.&nbsp;</li><li>5 years of experience in facilitating group therapy required.&nbsp;</li><li>If in recovery, 2 years of uninterrupted sobriety preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Must comply with ACT 33 of Pennsylvania law, HIPPA, CFR Part 42, when applicable.&nbsp;</li></ul>
