JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Non-Exempt Position
REPORTS TO: Production Engineering Manager
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
BASIC FUNCTION:
Entry level Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance of all production machinery and equipment in Manheim and Elizabethtown facilities.
GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform all routine preventative maintenance to production & facility equipment at both facilities.
- Troubleshoot and perform required repairs to production & facility equipment at both facilities.
- Manage PM Coordinator maintenance software to maintain proper records of maintenance program.
- Installation of new and existing equipment
- Work with outside vendors and service providers to accomplish required tasks.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and other systems
- Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
- Experience in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, powered tools, and floor scrubbers
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain positive vendor and client relationships
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional bending, squatting, and lifting.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude.
- Build business relationships primarily around good, solid, and courteous service, followed by individual rapport. Avoid excuses or negative explanations.
- Conduct all interactions with customers, vendors, field sales co-workers, and supervisors in a focused, positive, courteous, and respectful manner.
- Regular attendance is an essential element of the job. Unplanned absences have the potential to impair the operation of the department and diminish effectiveness of the company.
