The team is looking to add a Vice President to lead due diligence and on-going oversight of Registered Investment Advisers (RIAs) within Fidelity’s Wealth Advisor Solutions® (WAS) program. The WAS program matches retail clients with third-party RIAs for specialized services, providing them with additional choices when they have complex planning or customized investment needs. Reporting to the Head of Business and Advisor Oversight, the Vice President, Advisor Oversight will be responsible for the following activities: <ul><li>Lead a team responsible for initial due diligence and on-going oversight of managers with the WAS program</li><li>Team responsibilities include: <ul><li>Lead initial due diligence with potential investment advisors to evaluate their control environments and perform a thorough operational risk assessment of the firm</li><li>Conduct ongoing monitoring activities to identify any material risks across the investment advisors, which include, but not limited to, preparing manager scorecards and managing ad hoc events</li><li>Preparation of reports and presentations to senior management and oversight committees.</li></ul></li><li>Chair cross-functional management oversight committees for key program reporting and decision-making. <ul><li>Key partners include: Compliance, Legal, Product, and Channel/Distribution.</li></ul></li><li>Develop frameworks and acceptance criteria to evaluate risks associated with WAS advisors.</li><li>Drive evolution of the program through the assessment of industry trends, best practices, and process improvement opportunities.</li><li>Program resource planning and budgeting</li></ul>The Expertise and Skills You Bring <ul><li>Knowledge of investment industry regulatory environments</li><li>Operational Due Diligence experience at a bank, asset allocator, fund of funds, or other investment platform is preferred</li><li>Background in investment accounting/audit, compliance, or risk management at a financial institution</li><li>Experience leading cross-functional, complex programs</li><li>Strong program management, team leadership, and people skills</li><li>Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills</li><li>Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy, and strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to understand complex issues.</li><li>Ability to succeed in a deadline-driven, high-visibility environment</li><li>Experience working collaboratively with business, distribution, service providers, Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams</li><li>Ability to travel up to 20% of the time</li></ul>The TeamThe Business and Advisor Oversight Team within Strategic Advisers, LLC partners closely with SAI leadership and key stakeholders to identify, manage and mitigate risks across all facets of the business. The team provides support and oversight for Fidelity’s managed account products and offerings, including registered mutuals funds, private funds, separate accounts, and referral programs.
