Design academic skills workshops, including time management and study skills, targeted for students enrolled in STEM courses. Assist the Learning Center Coordinator in designing training for part-time tutoring staff based on faculty needs, student feedback, and best practices for STEM tutoring. Record tutoring visit data in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner. Promote tutoring services by visiting classes, being embedded in course shells, or attending resource fairs. Maintain knowledge of course schedules for both 7-week and 15-week Mathematics courses.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s degree or higher with at least 15 college credit hours in mathematics.
Must have subject matter expertise (shown by an A or B in the course subject and/or extensive experience) in Statistics and at least one of the following areas:
Algebra Finite Mathematics Precalculus
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous tutoring experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Experience working with a variety of learning styles.
