FUNCTION OF THE JOB:
The Coordinator of Workforce Development reports directly to the President and is responsible for facilitating workforce development initiatives, special industry training programs, special projects, institutional research, recruitment efforts. The coordinator strengthens partnerships with business and industry, supports student success, and ensures programs align with institutional goals and local workforce needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Develop, implement, and manage workforce development, special industry training, and apprenticeship programs that align with employer needs and institutional goals.</li>
<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with business and industry partners, faculty, staff, students, governmental agencies, and community organizations.</li>
<li>Deliver customized training programs and provide ongoing support to participating businesses and employees.</li>
<li>Oversee apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship, and cooperative education initiatives; implement and maintain related tracking tools.</li>
<li>Recruit, hire, and oversee special industry and apprenticeship instructors.</li>
<li>Conduct research, prepare written reports, and assist with grant development, documentation, and compliance.</li>
<li>Coordinate campus event scheduling, facility usage, and departmental communications.</li>
<li>Develop project plans, timelines, KPIs, and deliverables; track progress and ensure project completion.</li>
<li>Support student recruitment efforts; assist currently enrolled students with advising, enrollment, and registration needs.</li>
<li>Maintain required records, submit timely reports, and support accreditation and institutional initiatives.</li>
<li>Serve as primary point of contact for assigned projects and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders on project requirements.</li>
<li>Participate in staff meetings, executive meetings, professional development, graduation ceremonies, and other institutional activities.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited institution.</li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in workforce development or a related field.</li>
<li>Experience working with business and industry partners preferred.</li>
<li>Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common business software.</li>
<li>Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to express information clearly and professionally.</li>
<li>Knowledge of adult learning principles a plus.</li>
<li>Effective organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and relationship-building capability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.</li>
<li>High attention to detail and accuracy, including compliance and grant reporting.</li>
<li>Experience in higher education preferred.</li>
