The Patient Access Coordinator knows and understands the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of the department and consistently demonstrates these practices. The Patient Access Coordinator acts as a role model to all Patient Access Representatives.Duties and Responsibilities: <ul><li>Acts as a mentor to new and existing registration staff.&nbsp;</li><li>Works with supervisor to orient and train new staff to department policies, procedures and workflow.</li><li>Schedules appointments for all patients as requested by the patient or provider.</li><li>Sets up the recalls for returning patients as instructed by the provider</li><li>Answers the telephone in a polite and courteous manner. Identifies the department and introduces self.</li><li>Works closely and professionally with the clinical team to assist patients who walk-in with symptoms. This per diem opening in Aspire Health Alliance’s Emergency Services Program (ESP) provides in-home, community, and hospital ER-based services to children, teens, and adults who are at risk of harming themselves or others. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ESP’s master’s &nbsp;level clinicians provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment to support and stabilize clients while transitioning them to the appropriate level of care within the community.
