FUNCTION OF THE JOB:
The Coordinator of Workforce Development reports directly to the President and is responsible for facilitating workforce development initiatives, special industry training programs, special projects, institutional research, recruitment efforts. The coordinator strengthens partnerships with business and industry, supports student success, and ensures programs align with institutional goals and local workforce needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Develop, implement, and manage workforce development, special industry training, and apprenticeship programs that align with employer needs and institutional goals.</li>
<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with business and industry partners, faculty, staff, students, governmental agencies, and community organizations.</li>

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

JOB SUMMARY
The Head Women’s Softball Coach/Fitness Center Coordinator is responsible for administration of all aspects of the intercollegiate women’s Softball program. In addition, this position has responsibility for coordinating Fitness Room operations for the college’s Intercollegiate Athletics facility. The Coach/Coordinator is expected to work in cooperation with staff across the Athletics Department, other Student Services units, other areas of the college, high school personnel, and personnel from other colleges to develop and maintain a high quality intercollegiate women’s Softball program, offering an excellent experience to participating student-athletes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICIATIONS

<li>Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.</li>
<li>Minimum of three years of coaching experience in women's softball at the high school or collegiate level, either as a head coach or assistant coach.</li>
<li>Minimum of one year of experience in instruction/teaching of softball skill development in technique and skill acquisition OR one year of experience as a middle school or high school teacher, demonstrating ability to create lesson plans and evaluate skills progression.</li>

<li>Provide leadership for and administer all aspects of the intercollegiate Women’s Softball program for 20-25 participants, including recruitment of student-athletes, budget development and management, maintenance and inventory of equipment, travel and transportation planning, and scheduling of practices and competitions.</li>
<li>Instruct student-athletes in individual skills, tactics/strategy, rules, and fundamentals of women’s Softball at the intercollegiate level.</li>
<li>Teach student-athletes’ principles and practices in health, fitness, and conditioning associated with successful participation in intercollegiate women’s Softball.</li>
<li>Operate program in compliance with institutional, Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA), and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) rules.</li>
