Find your place in finance on #TeamAmex.As part of the Financial Reporting Quality Assurance Organization (FRQA) within Corporate Controllership, this role is responsible from bringing and managing data under governance for Finance.Finance Data Governance (FDG) team is leading the effort of defining the future roadmap for data governance within Finance and ensure ensuring that trusted information is used for critical processes, decision making, and accounting across various finance processes.As a Finance Data Governance manager for metadata, you will support the development and implementation of metadata solutions in accordance with the Enterprise Data Governance policy and framework. You will partner closely with Finance Technology transformation team, Enterprise Data Management, Controllership, Risk, and other teams to drive data governance and data quality within Finance.The FDG Manager is a collaborator, a well-organized, action-oriented individual with exceptional leadership and time management skills, confident in presenting, facilitating, and building a network of strong relationships across our organization.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Finance Data Governance in compliance with the Enterprise Data Governance Policy ensuring the appropriate accountability model and processes for data asset management, metadata management, data quality, and issue resolution.</li><li>Participate in all aspects of Data Governance specifically on data classification, Data Quality, data catalog and lineage, as well as compliance to data standards and privacy regulations.</li><li>Support development and maintenance of business glossary, data integration, data lineage, and data management activities.</li><li>Provide insight into the root-cause-analysis of&nbsp;data quality&nbsp;issues and assist in remediation of Audit and Regulatory feedback.</li><li>Recommending strategic improvements to data assessment process and making necessary enhancements to data analytical and&nbsp;data quality&nbsp;tools.</li><li>Validate completeness of data lineage between the point of data element creation (system of record) and the point where it is consumed by business users.</li><li>Provide ongoing support for metadata implementation, testing and integration.</li><li>Provide technical training and documentation in support of metadata policies and procedures.</li><li>Responsible for understanding end-to-end data flows and identifying data dependencies on upstream and downstream systems.</li><li>Serve as a liaison between Technology teams, application teams and product teams to drive Data Governance requirements and priorities.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Degree in Information systems or equivalent experience.</li><li>5+ years of work experience, of which at least 2 years in metadata.</li><li>Ability to lead and manage Data Analytics and BI projects is strongly desired.</li><li>Strong technical and data analysis skills with prior experience with SQL, Hive,&nbsp;Google Cloud.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to collect business requirements and use them to guide implementation of a technical solution.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Self-motivated and proactive, ability to manage multiple assignments and projects concurrently within tight deadlines.</li><li>Detailed understanding of the SDLC and experience in AGILE-based project development.</li><li>Experience of a wide range of architectures/platforms. (Oracle, Single-Store, Hadoop)</li><li>Strong excel and other technical skills.&nbsp;Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Understanding of regulatory reports such as Y9C, Y14M and 2052 is strongly preferred.</li><li>Background in financial reporting analysis on operational data used in regulatory submissions is strongly preferred.</li><li>Data Governance and Data Management experience is strongly preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience of Finance, Banking, Insurance or similar industries is a strong plus.</li><li>Prior experience with SQL is a strong plus.&nbsp;</li><li>Prior experience of data governance, metadata, and data lineage tools such as, COLLIBRA, MANTA is strongly preferred.</li></ul>Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
