Job Responsibilities <ul> <li>Directs assigned areas in the manufacturing, processing, or support areas to meet customer quality, output, and on-time delivery.</li> <li>Prepares daily production reports and attends department daily production meeting at Daily Management board.</li> <li>Setting, in concurrence with the Operations Manager, the daily production and quality goals and ensures that these goals are achieved for the assigned areas</li> <li>Completes timekeeping requirements for assigned hourly associates on a daily basis</li> <li>Schedules associates shifts, approves overtime, vacations, and other personnel administrative requests with manager approval</li> <li>Ensures associates are taking all breaks and lunches within the required time period</li> <li>Analysis and planning of short- and long-term department requirements</li> <li>Interfaces with other departments to ensure short- and long-term goals and deadlines are accomplished</li> <li>Walks shop floor to ensure all associates are maintaining productivity standards</li> <li>Employee relations: promoting teamwork, coaching, and counseling associates</li> <li>Ensures associates are in compliance with all company policies and procedures</li> <li>Coaches associates in their continuous improvement efforts.</li> <li>Ensure all Environmental and Safety policies are followed</li> <li>Monitor material inventory and work with Procurement to ensure material flow supports production schedules</li></ul><ul> <li>Provide leadership, direction, and motivation to associates in assigned area</li> <li>Work with the Team Leads to develop and execute&nbsp;training plans for all operators to ensure they have the skills needed to do their jobs and are sufficiently cross trained to optimize resource usage safely and correctly</li> <li>Direct the implementation of Howmet Business System initiatives (lean manufacturing) including 5S, standardized work, work balance, product flow and TMP improvements</li></ul>Qualifications Job Specifications Basic Qualifications:<ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) from an accredited institution</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years management and/or supervisor experience</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul> <li>Journeyman Tool &amp; Die Maker</li> <li>Experience in the investment casting industry</li> <li>Supervision/leadership experience in a tool and die manufacturing shop</li> <li>Leadership/supervision with regards to CNC equipment</li> <li>Die assembly experience in the wax and plastic injection processes</li> <li>Experience with lathes, wire EDM, CNC machining</li></ul>About us﻿Howmet Aerospace Inc. Tooling Manufacturing Supervisor - 3rd Shift

ResponsibilitiesJob Description:This position is responsible for the mechanical construction of our molds and dies.&nbsp; This work requires the application of standard mold making techniques, procedures, and criteria.<ul> <li>Responsible for leading the construction of several products concurrently.</li> <li>Interpret design blueprints to determine die / mold making plan.</li> <li>Perform operations within very close tolerances.</li> <li>Have their own tools and toolbox</li> <li>Ability to inspect own work.</li> <li>Ability to work with Engineering and Programming throughout the manufacturing process</li> <li>Able to operate multiple machinery; (Bridge Port, Grinders, Saws, EDM).</li> <li>Comply with Corporate EHS, Quality and HR rules and standards</li></ul>QualificationsBasic Qualifications:<ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) from an accredited institution (Required)</li> <li>Five or more&nbsp;years of experience in tool making/mold making.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul> <li>Ability to lift 40 pounds</li> <li>State issued Journeymen’s papers for Tool &amp; Die and /or Mold Making or 8 plus years Job shop experience.</li> <li>Previous experience in the construction of turbine/airfoil molds and dies strongly preferred.</li> <li>Ability to effectively work / communicate as part of a die making team.</li> <li>Basic Math and Trigonometry knowledge</li> <li>Thorough knowledge of tooling process.</li> <li>Ability to effectively work AND communicate as part of a cell team</li></ul>While not exposed to hazardous materials, this position requires wearing PPE (personal protection equipment).
