Also involves some exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, radiation, burns, cuts/punctures, blood-borne or airborne pathogens, and combative/violent people.ShiftNight shift position; weekdays, weekends, and some holidays per departmental needs.Job SummaryThe Respiratory Therapist Senior/Sleep Center/UKHC provides competent care of patients through airway management, various CPAP/BIPAP therapies, oxygen administration, and performing polysomnography studies in accordance with The Joint Commission (TJC) and departmental policies and procedures. General duties will include: registering patients; gathering patient pre-study paperwork; preparing patients and equipment for procedures; explaining procedures and interactions to patients; completing follow-up notes as needed; performing polysomnography studies and analyzing data to assist in obtaining proper diagnosis; entering charges; and cleaning all study equipment. This position will also have some administrative and clerical responsibilities for the daily operations of the department. The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted.

The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $30.00/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate’s experience.
