Overall Summary

• The candidate will focus on investigating novel therapeutics for musculoskeletal regeneration. Specifically, they will conduct mechanistic in vitro and in vivo rodent studies examining the effects of extracellular vesicles as a treatment for skeletal muscle and tendon injury. These studies aim to contribute to the development of innovative therapeutic strategies through screening-based approaches and translational research. It is also expected that the candidate will participate in grant writing, presentations, and publication of the work throughout the postdoctoral training.

Duties or Responsibilities

• Assist in performing in vitro and in vivo experiments using extracellular vesicles as a treatment for skeletal muscle and tendon injury.

• Contribute to data processing, data analysis, and interpretation of results.

• Write abstracts and manuscript based upon the results.

• The candidate will also work with our collaborators during the research project to ensure that relevant data analyses are being performed.

Expectations or Standards

• Develop skills in rodent models of muscle and tendon injury and healing.

• Develop skills in histological, immuno-histological, and biochemical assays to assess muscle and tendon injury and healing.

• Experience with analyzing research data

• Interact actively with co-workers in the lab.

• Attend weekly lab meetings.

• Present research findings at lab meetings.
