Epsilon C5I (www.epsilonsystems.com/c5i), focused on software development and systems engineering for complex command, control, intelligence and combat systems, is seeking a Technical Writer II with a minimum of 3 years’ of experience for work in San Diego, CA. Our engineering efforts provide the warfighter with tools to provide critical support to operational mission capabilities. Position Summary:

The Technical Writer will develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation supporting advanced signal processing research, development, testing, and transition activities. The writer will work with engineers and government stakeholders to produce clear, accurate, and compliant documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare technical reports.

  • Develop design documentation.

  • Create user guides and operating procedures.

  • Edit engineering documentation for consistency and clarity.

  • Prepare briefing materials.

  • Maintain document configuration.

  • Support milestone reviews.

  • Ensure documentation complies with government standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, Engineering, or related field.

  • 3+ years technical writing experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience supporting engineering organizations.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Candidate must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance

  • Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting DoD technical programs.

  • Familiarity with software development documentation.

  • Experience with requirements and systems engineering documentation.

  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (SharePoint, Confluence, Jira).

  • DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Access

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $110,000 - $165,000 annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

ADA Notations:

  • Regular communication (hearing/speaking).

  • Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.

  • Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).

  • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, standing, and walking.

  • Ability to travel by car, air or other means of transportation, if required.
