Job-Specific Responsibilities: Has primary responsibility for receiving, handling, and providing responses to allegations of scientific and/or research misconduct involving faculty, staff, post-doctoral affiliates or students within the FAS/SEAS community. Job Description Job Summary: Lead and provide professional engineering expertise in a core facility in process design, training, quality assurance, and developmental activities. Job-Specific Responsibilities: The Center for Nanoscale Systems (CNS) at Harvard University seeks a talented, enthusiastic individual to work within the nanofabrication facility as a senior lithography engineer. Reporting to the director of the Nanofabrication Facility, this position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:1) Oversee and lead all the activities (maintenance, training, and process development) in the photolithography area, and especially in the advanced Photolithography. Supervise the photo engineer/technician on this technical area.2) Lead the process development and technology innovation of advanced lithography (3D lithography, direct laser writing). Support and supervise the REU/REV student/interns. 3) Participate research projects of Harvard PI groups, provide the process development assistance, technical solutions, and support broad and challenge research application. 4) In charge of all the nanofabrication backend and packaging processes.5) Establish and supervise the process design facility, including modeling software, Nanofab process simulation and integration.6) As a member of Emergency Response Team (ERT), train users on best safety practices, and help to monitor laboratory safety compliance.CNS is an open, shared-use facility that serves Harvard as well as external academic and industrial users. Collaboration with other CNS personnel to achieve objectives and enhance service quality is highly expected. Working Conditions: <ul><li>Must be able to work in cleanroom, chemical, and measurement laboratory environments.</li><li>Will work around compressed gases, acids, solvents, vacuum pump oils, and other chemicals.</li></ul>Physical Requirements: <ul><li>Lifting (up to approximately 50 pounds), bending, and other physical exertion</li><li>Standing and/or sitting for extended periods</li><li>Manual dexterity is required for this role, as it involves performing tasks that demand fine motor skills, accuracy, and swift movements. The position will require working on both large and small assemblies.</li></ul> Qualifications Basic Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related field and a minimum of five years’ relevant work experience, or</li><li>A minimum of nine years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience</li></ul>Additional Qualifications and Skills: <ul><li>Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry or a related field with 3-5 year experience is desirable.</li><li>Extensive Cleanroom fabrication experiences, especially in photolithography, etching, film deposition, and metrology, packaging technology, are highly desired.</li><li>The candidate should be self-motivated with a strong desire to acquire on-the-job training, to succeed, and to develop intellectual and practical professional skills.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work well in teams is essential, with excellent communication skills.</li></ul> Additional Information <ul><li>Standard Hours/Schedule: 35 hours per week</li><li>Visa Sponsorship Information: Harvard University is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
