Job Summary
The Financial Aid Specialist II provides financial aid, admissions, and career guidance to current students, perspective students, and parents. Additionally, the FAS provides consultation in all financial aid matters to a variety of stakeholders including students, prospective students, high school and GEAR Up counselors, faculty, staff and interested community partners, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies.




Job Duties:
1. Manage daily Financial Aid operations at the Montgomery Campus consisting of processing applications, performing corrections, and awarding aid. Stay updated on federal, state and institution policies and procedures to ensure compliance. 2. Counsel students and parents regarding all types of financial aid. Collect and process required documentation for students and parents. 3. Connect with students via multiple communication channels to complete financial aid files. 4. Meet weekly with Business Office counterpart to review open accounts to reduce bad debt. 5. Serve as student loan coordinator for MCTC. Reconcile the loan program each semester and annually. Keep staff updated on changes in the federal student loan program and all requirements. Run query reports to monitor any issues. Adjust awards as needed. Counsel students on completing loan entrance and exit counseling and signing Master Promissory Notes. 6. Oversee the Pell Grant Lifetime Eligibility Usage process for students nearing the end of their Pell Grant eligibility. Manually award these students and notify them regarding remaining eligibility. Coordinate with the Director of Financial Aid on Pell POP process with other institutions as alerts are issued. 7. Conducts workshops, presentations, and orientations regarding financial aid information to a variety of students and groups. Assists with off-campus registration events and recruiting activities as needed. 8. Serve as Montgomery Campus point of contact for federal, state and local scholarship information. Post external awards. 9. Serve on committees and special projects as assigned.




Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years or experience. &nbsp;

Job Summary
The Financial Aid Advisor IV position provides administrative and technical leadership, expert consultation and best practices and procedures in all financial aid manner to support system wide KCTCS college financial aid fund programs. It combines student financial aid functional knowledge and technical expertise with an emphasis on federal compliance support. Responsibilities include the day-to-day operations of financial aid systems, indirectly leading other financial aid systems staff, and providing ongoing training. Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Nursing Instructor is to provide quality instruction to students at Hopkinsville Community College. 




Job Duties:
Effectively teach didactic and clinical nursing courses for the nursing division as assigned by the college (assignments may be at any campus site). • Develop and implement web enhanced and/or on-line nursing courses. • Provide for and be actively involved in on-going evaluations, development, and enhancement of nursing offerings. • Actively utilize instructional and discipline research data to employ methods for continuous improvement in instructional and institutional effectiveness. • Actively utilize technology as a learning tool and actively evaluate instructional tools for effective learning. • Participate in academic and student enhancement activities, including student advising. • Maintain and improve, through professional development, competence in discipline knowledge and instructional techniques. • Participate in internal and external service activities (college committees, system committees, community relations). • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 




Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing and two years full time or equivalent experience is preferred. Nursing degrees must be from an accredited college or university. • Shall have and maintain expertise in the clinical or functional area of responsibility. • RN license to practice in Kentucky. &nbsp;

      Nursing Instructor
    

Title: Adult Education Instructor- GRANT FUNDED - TEMPORARY PART TIME
Salary Range: $25.00 per hour
Contract Term Length:&nbsp;Not Applicable
Standard Hours:&nbsp;As scheduled by supervisor, 18.75 - 24 hours per week
Work Location: Primarily in Christian and Todd Counties

Job Summary
The primary purpose of the temporary part time Adult Education Instructor is to teach mathematics and reading, provide assessment and targeted instruction services to the Academic Foundations Department students that may be in Christian or adjacent counties seeking to earn a high school equivalency diploma (GED), enroll in college, or advance in a career. Services may be provided at college campus, county jails, or other external locations. This position will most likely serve Caldwell and Todd counties.




Job Duties:
1. Provide instruction for Adult Basic Education students in literacy, adult basic education, GED test preparation, English language acquisition, workforce preparation, and more. Assignment location may vary. 2. Plan, implement, document, and evaluate instructional strategies, learning practices, procedures, and tools appropriate to the needs of the adult student. 3. Leverage formal and informal assessment data to monitor and document student progress. 4. Adhere to and maintain established performance reporting procedures and information to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal policies and procedures. 5. Make referrals to community agencies or postsecondary institutions as appropriate. 6. Participate in the retention and follow-up of students. 7. Participate in required professional development activities. 8. Other duties as assigned. 




Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree (education or content-related field), and two years related experience or equivalent. 2. Must score within NRS Level 6 on the TABE 11/12 (A) within three months of hire. Math Instructors must take and score within NRS Level 6 in Mathematics and Reading. Reading Instructors must take and score within NRS Level 6 in Reading. If an instructor teaches in more than one area, they must score within NRS Level 6 in each content area they teach. 3. Must be digitally literate and proficient in using digital tools for communication, professional learning, and instruction 4. Ability to use common productivity software and Internet tools. 5. Excellent ability to use data in planning and oversight. 6. Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. &nbsp;
