Job Summary
The Data Specialist will oversee all data management and evaluation activities for the Generating Energy Optimization (GEO) Project. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining comprehensive data systems to support project performance measurement, evaluation, and reporting. The Data Specialist will collaborate with the project’s external evaluator, recruitment specialist, instructors, and success coaches to ensure that data collection, entry, and analysis are accurate, consistent, and timely.

Job Duties:

Job Summary
Owensboro Community and Technical College’s Workforce Solutions team is seeking a part-time/temporary Support Specialist for FlexTrain to assist in delivering innovative computer-based training programs serving clients across Kentucky and throughout the United States. This position plays a vital role in providing outstanding customer service and technical support to business, industry, and educational partners. Schedule is flexible, Mon. – Fri. (some remote work may be possible).




Job Duties:
• Provide Help Desk support to learners and clients using OCTC’s FlexTrain platform. • Assist with Learning Management System setup, course enrollment, and troubleshooting. • Track and collect training data, including enrollment, completion, and satisfaction metrics. • Generate regular reports and summaries to support program evaluation and decision-making. • Coordinate with FlexTrain team members and instructors to ensure smooth program delivery. 




Minimum Qualifications:
• Associates degree (Information Technologies, Computer Science, Business Administration) and two (2) years of relevant work experience or the equivalent.&nbsp;




Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (Information Technologies, Computer Science, Business Administration) and four (4) years is preferred.




Additional Skills Requested:
• Strong technical and customer service skills. • Experience with Learning Management Systems. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook). • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
