Position Summary:

      Specialist, Instructional Designer
    

The Patrol Officer (Police Officer 1) supports students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors by monitoring activity on campus for the purpose of maintaining peace and enforcing laws and supports the college by ensuring a safe educational and work environment. The Henry County Campus (HCC) is the home campus for this position. However, the officer may be required to perform police duties at the other DSCC campus locations.&nbsp;
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs foot and vehicle patrols of campus to preserve the peace and enforce the rules and regulations of the college, state, federal and local laws, directs and manages vehicular traffic, secures and unlocks campus areas as needed.
Responds to calls for service; investigates motor vehicle incidents, criminal offenses, and non-criminal incidents; and takes appropriate law enforcement or investigative action.&nbsp; Monitors and reviews security camera recordings to assist in investigations and to ensure safety for the campus community.

      Campus Police Officer, Henry County Center
    

This regular, part-time (85%) position works 44 weeks per year and is responsible for assisting the head women’s basketball coach with organizing and coaching the women’s basketball team and overseeing academic success. The position reports directly to the head women’s basketball coach and Athletic Director, in the Division of External Affairs.

Assist with the supervision of practices and games. Provides instruction to student-athletes as directed by the head women’s basketball coach.

Monitors class and study hall attendance and faculty progress reports for student-athletes.
Assist with transport of athletic teams to and from games and tournaments.
Assist with the supervision of team activities.

Job Summary
This is a full-time, academic-year (9 months), one-year (renewable) appointment within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. The faculty member is responsible for the planning and delivery of quality classroom instruction across multiple delivery formats, assessment of student learning, and service to the shared governance of the college. The faculty member is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day and evening on any Jackson State Community College Campus.
