Job Summary:
The Director is responsible for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Education program which grants technical certificates. The Director will lead, organize, supervise, manage, and implement all aspects of the program, including classroom and online course development and instruction, curriculum development, marketing, recruitment and advising of students, budgeting, and faculty supervision and support, and revision/modification of all program components as needed. Position includes teaching responsibilities, including clinical practicum and capstone courses. The Program Director holds a 12-month faculty position with release time each term based on the size of the program, as determined by the Dean and VPAA. Faculty are expected to provide academic advising to students and participate in college, department, and community activities related to the College’s mission.
Job Duties:
Teach 38-42 TLE per year via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned with both teaching and approved release time included in this expectation. Typically, the EMS program director receives 6 TLE release time per term. Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment, and distance-based courses as required. Develop curriculum; evaluate and review credit and non-credit courses; develop online classes as needed. Evaluate and monitor progress to achieve goals and objectives (and those by any licensing, registering, or certifying agency as applicable); assist with affiliation and accreditation efforts. Recruit and advise students and support persistence/progression through graduation. Maintain office hours and availability to students. Complete required College trainings. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution. Currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Tennessee Paramedic, without a history of revocation, denial, or suspension of licensure and meet the requirements established by the Commission on Allied of Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon recommendation from the Committee on Accreditation of Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP), and the Tennessee Department of Health Division of EMS. Licensed emergency care experience shall include a minimum of three years practice. Minimum of three (3) years practicing in the pre-hospital emergency environment or equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years in EMS education administration or, greater than three hundred (300) hours of EMS instruction. Administrative experience shall include a minimum of two years in EMS educational administration. Current endorsement in a Board approved trauma, cardiac, and pediatric course at the provider level. Documented education or experience in instructional methodology. Be knowledgeable about the current versions of the National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Education Standards and about evidenced-informed clinical practice.

This is a full-time permanent, fiscal year position in the Division of Administrative Services reporting to the Deputy Chief Information Officer. The Director of IT Security provides strategic leadership and oversight of the institution’s cybersecurity posture. This critical role ensures that the College’s information systems are protected from internal and external threats by developing, implementing, and maintaining security protocols and training programs. The Director will guide security-related decisions, proactively manage risk, and promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness across the organization.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Lead the College’s information security program, including development and delivery of cybersecurity awareness training and policy education.</li>
<li>Collaborate with departments including Internal Audit and Finance/Controller to identify risks and implement IT risk mitigation strategies.</li>

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
70%&nbsp;Teaching: Teach Aviation Technology classes (General, Airframe, and Power Plant). Create instructional materials and laboratory experiences, teach courses at a variety of times in response to institutional needs, evaluate students’ progress toward achievement of stated student learning outcomes, and inform them promptly of their progress in the course. Contribute to the management of labs and equipment, develop or update course syllabi for courses within the college guidelines and curriculum as necessary to remain current with the industry, specifically FAA requirements, and review, evaluate, and recommend student learning materials. Work with other faculty, staff, and local industries and organizations to continually refine and improve the Aviation Technology program. Such duties to be performed include developing new course materials or courses as required to maintain program currency in emerging technologies in the field of Aviation Maintenance; completing assessment requirements relative to the program.
10% &nbsp;Faculty Service: Advise students. Serve on internal and external committees for the College and the community at large. Work with the Workforce and Community Development department to develop workforce solutions.
10%&nbsp;&nbsp;Professional Development (Teaching and Discipline): Learn emerging technologies and processes (including different computer platforms and related hardware, software, and instructional aids) used in teaching AVIT classes. Attend and/or present at local, regional, state, or national conferences as part of professional development activities. Work with AMT Program Director, faculty, the AMT Advisory Committee, and local industries and organizations to continually refine and improve related curricula.
