Job Description and RequirementsThe Commercial Underwriter prepares detailed credit analysis on commercial credit requests to provide sufficient information to make sound credit decisions. &nbsp;Works closely with loan officers to prudently underwrite and structure commercial loans. &nbsp;Also responsible for credit decisions for loans within established credit authority.This position reports on site to our main campus - 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, TX 78233Essential Functions and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Works closely with loan officers to structure and underwrite commercial loans ranging in size from $750,000 to $15,000,000+.</li><li>Performs an impartial credit analysis and prepares credit memos for SBA 504 and 7a loans, commercial mortgages, lines of credit, term and equipment loans.&nbsp;</li><li>In conjunction with loan officers, presents loans to loan committee and resolves questions and concerns raised during loan discussions.&nbsp;</li><li>Discusses credit issues with members and prospective members to adequately complete loan presentations and annual loan reviews. &nbsp;</li><li>Recommend or approve risk ratings for new credit applications.</li><li>Spread borrower’s financial statements and/or tax returns to provide support of the financial analysis of the borrower, when needed. &nbsp;</li><li>Complete underwriting and presentation of credit memorandums for loan participations (purchases).&nbsp;</li><li>May assist the Portfolio Management team in completing annual loan reviews. &nbsp;</li><li>Serves as the go to source for questions related to Loan Policy and Procedures.</li><li>All other duties as assigned (note: essential functions and responsibilities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice).</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics</li><li>Minimum of one year previous work related experience</li><li>Previous experience in financial analysis, credit analysis or financial modeling required</li><li>Must be able/willing to commute to the work location at: 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, TX 78233</li><li>Formal credit training and experience with loan origination software is preferred</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and other financial modeling software is preferred&nbsp;</li></ul>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected status.
