      College Work Study Program (Administrative Services)
    

The Athletics Marketing and Media Coordinator will support the Athletics department and the Division of External Affairs by creating high-end graphic design and video projects to be used as a recruiting tool and promote Dyersburg State Community College Athletics. The coordinator will be responsible for writing press releases, creating and maintaining a continuous brand presence across all social media platforms, updating and creating webpages, overseeing game-day technical operations while serving as a point of contact for all game-day equipment oversight.
Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Work collaboratively with the Office of External Affairs to design marketing materials for the athletic department, including but not limited to schedule posters, rosters, infographics, social media graphics, and advertising graphics.</li>
<li>Assist with overarching sports marketing, communication, public relations campaigns, and fundraising campaigns.</li>
<li>Create enhanced videos highlighting all sports, working with professional staff on all aspects of video production, including but not limited to Hudl and ESPN+ live streams, and highlight packages.</li>
<li>Assist with the creation of marketing, communication, and creative content for social media to engage with fans.</li>
<li>Develop new ways to promote Dyersburg State Athletics’ programs while taking advantage of emerging technology, using current graphic trends and techniques within the sports design industry as a guideline.</li>
<li>Maintain and oversee the athletics.dscc.edu website, creating new pages and updating sports pages as needed to promote the department and individual sports.</li>
<li>Serve as a backup editor for the dscc.edu college website as needed.</li>
<li>Utilizes software such as Adobe Creative Suite software for both DVD/CD authoring and video editing, using AfterEffects, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, InDesign, ProTools audio production software for producing radio spots, and Illustrator.</li>
<li>Establishes a procedure for maintaining DSCC photo archives.</li>
<li>Communicate and cooperate with Athletic Director on a regular basis on all developments with public relations potential and send all content to the Vice President of External Affairs for review.</li>
<li>Respond appropriately with the media so as not to demean student-athletes, the College, the TCCAA, or NJCAA, and all parties connected.</li>
<li>Immediately report anything controversial that may attract media attention to the Athletic Director and the Vice President of External Affairs.</li>
<li>Remain knowledgeable and in full compliance with the rules, regulations, and philosophies of the NJCAA, TCCAA, various regional affiliations, and Dyersburg State Community College.</li>
<li>Immediately report any potential violations, eligibility problems, rules infractions, or disciplinary action of student-athletes immediately to the Athletic Director.</li>
<li>Support Dyersburg State’s educational philosophy and the goals of the Athletic Department as a loyal, energetic, and highly visible representative.</li>

Required Qualifications:

Experience with, and proficient knowledge of&nbsp;digital and social media marketing. This includes, but is not limited to, Facebook, X, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and Snapchat. Graphic design experience is highly preferred.
Preferred and Minimum Requirements of Education and Experience:
Preferred qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, information technology, graphic design, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.
A minimum of an associate degree and two years of marketing or design experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Minimum starting salary is $36,900 annually ($18.92 per hour). With additional experience pay increases to a maximum of $46,100.

In addition to supporting core systems and integrated platforms, this role contributes to the organization’s AI adoption strategy by identifying opportunities to embed AI into system workflows, data analysis, and operational processes.Responsibilities<ul><li>Collaborate with business units as the technical resource to design, build, test and configure new deposit and loan products, focusing on alignment with strategic goals and initiatives.&nbsp; Work closely with internal stakeholders / lines of business during the design and launch of new products to ensure all key stakeholders are notified at the appropriate time.</li><li>Develops and maintains documentation describing product build and configuration, procedures, testing, changes, and corrections</li><li>Interprets and maintains current working knowledge of the DNA system as the technical resource, performing all DNA configurations of new products and new DNA apps that support or enhance product functionality.&nbsp; </li><li>Analyzes the functionality of DNA and custom applications to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement</li><li>Reviews DNA release documentation to determine potential impact, recommends features to adopt to business units, and maintains and updates DNA setups and configurations for each subsequent DNA release. </li><li>Consults with department managers and division leadership to identify systemic and procedural opportunities to increase efficiency in the core operations of the credit union.&nbsp;&nbsp; </li><li>Leads the assessment of scope, resource requirements, and return on investment to support prioritization of development efforts in alignment with broader DNA roadmap and strategy.</li><li>Work with developers and database administrators to coordinate projects utilizing agile methodology. </li><li>Troubleshoot DNA system issues related to loan, deposit and DNA app functionality.</li><li>Exercises discretion and independent judgement in the development of detailed specifications to support specific business needs while considering impacts to other departments and member/staff experience.</li><li>Collaborates cross functionally to execute project and change management to meet both short- and long-term business objectives.</li><li>Mitigates roadblocks in achieving development goals while working closely with internal and external technical resources.</li><li>Tests solutions effectively utilizing industry standard analysis methods.&nbsp; </li><li>Represents the credit union working directly with software vendors to formulate design decisions and implement configuration that impacts operating procedures.</li><li>Serves as DNA ambassador, sharing knowledge, answering questions, and proactively recommending improvements.</li><li>Collaborate with business and technical teams to evaluate AI use cases and integrate AI tools into system configurations and enhancements.</li><li>Support the implementation of AI-driven features in core systems, including testing, documentation, and performance monitoring.</li><li>Analyze system data to identify opportunities for predictive analytics, automation, and intelligent decision support.</li><li>Stay informed on AI trends and tools relevant to core banking and enterprise systems.</li></ul>Additional Position Responsibilities<ul><li>Solves problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.</li><li>Advises business and technical partners in assessment of business need and resolution of business problems in a highly collaborative manner.</li><li>Drives consensus building and conflict resolution.&nbsp; </li><li>Balances competing priorities in a time-sensitive environment to meet deadlines.</li><li>Analyze information and evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution and to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.</li><li>Advocate for innovation and change adoption.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).&nbsp; Proficiency with DNA financial banking core system.&nbsp; Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in systems analysis or financial services.</li><li>Experience with AI-enhanced platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, chatbots, or predictive analytics tools) is a plus.</li><li>Ability to translate business needs into AI-supported system configurations and enhancements.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>5+ Years of direct business line experience with credit union back-office operations (Required)</li><li>4 Year/bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of bachelor's) </li></ul>At OnPoint, we believe a workplace that reflects the richness of the world fosters a welcoming and empowering environment for everyone.
