Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be at least 21 years of age. Graduate of an accredited, approved police academy and be a certified police officer meeting all the requirements for P.O.S.T certification in Tennessee. Meet the requirements of TCA 38-8-106 and TCA 38-8-107 Qualifications of Police Officers. Out of state applicants are required to meet Tennessee P.O.S.T certification requirements within six (6) months of hire. Prior law enforcement experience as full-time certified officer must be within the past three (3) years. Must attend and successfully complete, annually, a department authorized and P.O.S.T approved in-service training course consisting of forty (40) hours of instruction.       Police Officer
    

The Patrol Officer (Police Officer 1) supports students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors by monitoring activity on campus for the purpose of maintaining peace and enforcing laws and supports the college by ensuring a safe educational and work environment. The Henry County Campus (HCC) is the home campus for this position. However, the officer may be required to perform police duties at the other DSCC campus locations.&nbsp;
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs foot and vehicle patrols of campus to preserve the peace and enforce the rules and regulations of the college, state, federal and local laws, directs and manages vehicular traffic, secures and unlocks campus areas as needed.
Responds to calls for service; investigates motor vehicle incidents, criminal offenses, and non-criminal incidents; and takes appropriate law enforcement or investigative action.&nbsp; Monitors and reviews security camera recordings to assist in investigations and to ensure safety for the campus community.
Conducts investigations of crimes or incidents committed or occurring on campus; seeks out and questions victims, witnesses, and suspects; develops leads and tips; searches crime scenes; analyzes and evaluates evidence; arrests offenders; prepares cases for giving testimony and testifies in court and disciplinary proceedings.
Assists students, faculty, staff, and visitors as needed and otherwise protects and serves. Assists with emergency planning for the campuses.&nbsp; Participates in emergency management and safety training and coordination. Conducts safety equipment checks as assigned. Maintains Tennessee P.O.ST certification by attending training as necessary.&nbsp; Attends additional training as required and needed for the college and department.

Job Summary
This is a full-time position responsible for financial reporting, analysis, reconciliation and ensuring the accuracy of financial records of Southwest Tennessee Community College and Southwest Foundation. This position reports to the Director of Accounting.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepares, examines, and/or analyzes complex accounting transactions, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.</li>
<li>May function as subject matter expert or project lead on accounting for cross departmental projects and strategic finance initiatives</li>
<li>Lead and/or review processes to compile and communicate financial results, including regulatory and management reporting. Independently interpret and analyze financial results.</li>
<li>Recommend and implement internal controls to mitigate risks associated with financial and management reporting.</li>
<li>Develops, maintains, and monitors aging reports, trend analysis, charts, and graphs to include preparing and analyzing detailed and complex accounting, statistical, and narrative financial reports and statements</li>
<li>Assists with financial activity closeouts and financial audits to include preparing year end schedules and supplemental reports as required.</li>
<li>Enhance the control environment by monitoring accounting processes and systems; may recommend process changes and improvements</li>
<li>Prepares bank reconciliations.</li>
<li>May prepare tax documentation and financial statements</li>
<li>May lead and perform research and implementation of new GASB Accounting Standards.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college and training which enable one to perform the essential job functions. 
</li>
<li>Five (5) years of recent experience in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, or analysis of business operations. 
</li>
<li>A background check will be required for the successful candidate.</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
<ul>
<li>Advanced knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, applicable GASB and GAAP guidelines regarding classification of recording fixed assets, and the analysis and reporting of financial data. 
</li>
<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced excel skills. 
</li>
<li>Experience with Ellucian Banner systems and Argos reporting software desired. 
</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
</li>
<li>Excellent organization skills in order to determine workload priorities.</li>

Job Summary:
Provides customer service, performs all duties which relate to accounting which includes: accounts payable and/or accounts receivable, refunds, encumbering and disbursing funds for college expenses, cashiering duties, cash handling, and communicates with the general public. Performs other job related duties relative to the area of responsibility. 
Job Duties:
Compiles and prepares appropriate data for account receivable billing; ensures accuracy of data for billing purposes. Assists vendors, departments, employees, and students by providing requested information or materials. Receives, sorts, and processes a variety of invoices and billings; Maintain vendor information in host system. Provides competent, professional and quality service. Maintains confidentiality of information and works in accordance with FERPA guidelines on the disclosure of information. Processes computer generated reports as necessary; reviews for accuracy. Performs a variety of general clerical duties including word processing, maintaining files and records. Inputs documents into computerized accounting programs and processes computer output. Prepares quarterly president’s expense report. Monitors, balances, and reconciles vendor accounts. Prepares various tax returns including 1099 reports. Maintains the office supply inventory and forms inventory. Provides training to faculty and staff on various accounts payable processes. Custodian of Business Office Pro-Card. Reconciles transactions each month. Maintains the physical plant utility expense spreadsheet. Receipting of purchase orders for Konica Minolta and Shred-it. Reconcile/audit travel expense claims. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of related experience. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must demonstrate excellent communication skills. (Written and verbal). Must be committed to a positive customer service philosophy. Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet. Knowledge of principles and procedures of financial record keeping and reporting. Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment. Basic math and alphabetizing skills. Confident in using own initiative, prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines. Detail oriented. 
Pay Rate: $38,206 - $45,847 annual salary depending on experience
