NYC Votes seeks to increase civic participation among young New Yorkers through the implementation of Peer to Peer Model of civics. The team is seeking a Youth Engagement Coordinator who will focus on outreach to youth ages 14-18. This role will play a critical role in enhancing our civic engagement education and empowerment training for youth across New York City, with a focus on young people ages 14-18 years old. The Youth Engagement Coordinator will work closely with high schools, community-based organizations, academic institutions, libraries, and other youth-centered groups to deliver civic education and training opportunities. The role will also support the Partnerships and Outreach team in building and maintaining strong internal systems to organize and track partnership development. The Youth Engagement Coordinator will work closely with the Youth Programs Manager on the Community Engagement and Education team to identify and forge relationships with key stakeholders, primarily with youth-focused City agencies, CBOs, and high schools to increase youth voter turnout. The Youth Coordinator will be expected to travel independently across the five boroughs to deliver NYC Votes’ civic engagement curriculum to priority youth audiences.
