Job Summary
Reporting to the VP for Finance &amp; Administration, the Director of Plant Operations &amp; Maintenance is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility maintenance and operations across Northeast State Community College (NESCC) campuses. Job Duties

Typical duties include:<ul><li>Reviews and processes invoices to ensure that vendors and external suppliers are paid promptly</li><li>Develops controls that ensure that, before payment, the following occurs:<ul><li>Invoices are legitimate, approved, complete and accurate</li><li>Invoices are compliant with University, Ivy League and NCAA policies</li></ul></li><li>Reconciles open accounts payable items; investigates and corrects discrepancies</li><li>Responsible for researching budget to actual variances and processing corrective journals</li><li>Responsible for processing and reconciling the weekly payroll process, ensuring compliance with University, Ivy League and NCAA policies</li><li>Responsible for training all managers in PeopleSoft and University policies regarding payroll</li><li>Collaborates with Human Resources to resolve all payroll issues</li><li>Creates, processes and maintains the Department's account receivable function, which includes invoicing for all internal and external rentals using QuickBooks</li><li>Responsible for applying all payments received and managing the aging through contact with renters</li><li>Implement and develop best practices to improve the efficiency and accurateness of the accounts payable and weekly payroll function</li><li>Prepare monthly administrative reports to assist department managers</li><li>Controls and administers petty cash transactions ensuring all transactions are reconciled</li><li>May assist in reviewing, auditing, and approving Concur expense reports</li></ul> Qualifications Basic Qualifications: At least 3 years of accounting or business work experience required.
