FUNCTION OF THE JOB:
Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville is accepting applications for two Welding Technology Instructor positions. Both positions are full-time, Monday through Friday, and located at either the Main Campus, 2905 Highway 231 North, Shelbyville, TN, or Ariens Corporation, 1810 Wilson Parkway, Fayetteville, TN.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Provide individualized classroom and lab instruction to high school and adult students to prepare them for careers in welding.</li>
<li>Demonstrate and explain welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, OFC, and PAC) in classroom and lab settings.</li>
<li>Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ progress.</li>
<li>Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports.</li>
<li>Assist in recruitment and placement of students.</li>
<li>Maintain good public relations with business and industry and maintain an active advisory board.</li>
</ul>
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

<li>High school diploma or equivalent (HiSET acceptable).</li>
<li>Postsecondary diploma or A.A.S. in Welding or related field preferred.</li>
<li>AWS Certification Level I or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.</li>
<li>3+ years of approved work experience in the welding occupation:

<li>Experience with SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, OFC, and PAC using various materials.</li>
<li>Fabrication and blueprint reading experience.</li>

Job Purpose:&nbsp;The purpose of this position is to oversee and support Walters State’s Middle College and related dual enrollment initiatives by ensuring students meet both high school and college graduation requirements. This role includes coordinating with area high schools and homeschool agencies, guiding students through applications, funding, advising, and registration, and providing ongoing communication and mentoring to promote academic success. Additionally, the position develops marketing and recruitment strategies, manages program documentation, and serves as the primary liaison for Middle College, Local Dual Credit, and homeschool partnerships across the college’s ten-county service area.
Essential Job Functions:

<li>Oversight and coordination of the Middle College Program at Walters State, including but not limited to recruitment, registration, certification (of Middle College Grant), tuition/fee reporting, liaison with all service area high schools.</li>

FUNCTION OF THE JOB:
Under the general supervision of the Financial Aid Coordinator, the Student Services Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for students by answering frequently asked questions (FAQs) and helping students navigate the student onboarding process. He/she will also answer incoming calls, relay messages, greet and direct campus visitors, and provide clerical support to faculty and staff.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Custodian position assists the Custodial Coordinator in keeping the buildings clean. The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Chattanooga is accepting applications for the part-time position of Truck Driving Adjunct Instructor to be located at the Soddy Daisy site in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. This scheduled class time will be five nights a week (3:15 p.m. – 10:45 p.m.) at the approved campus work site for instruction, office hours, and community and college service.

Instructors are responsible for teaching students in our training programs in classroom, hands on lab settings, and clinical, ensuring that they gain the knowledge and skills that are required for entry-level employment in their chosen field. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

<li>High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma in related field preferred. A comparable combination of related education and related work experience may be considered.</li>

GENERAL DUTIES:&nbsp; The Facilities Support Associate 4 performs building maintenance and related work as required in a variety of areas including, but not limited to: electrical, plumbing, lighting, landscaping, painting, carpentry, and HVAC. Working independently, but under the direction of the Lead Facilities Support Associate 6 and supervision of the Vice President of Operations, this position is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment; ensuring facilities meet environmental, health and safety standards; performing tasks related to facility and grounds upkeep; assisting in maintaining mechanical and electrical systems or performing equipment maintenance; assisting with moving furniture or other large items; assisting with setting up for events; performing landscaping and mowing tasks, and other duties as assigned. This position is also expected to serve as back-up to custodial personnel during their absence. During inclement weather events or emergency maintenance situations, facilities personnel may be called in to work outside of regularly scheduled work hours. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. with a fixed schedule to be set after employment begins. Some travel and work at satellite campuses may be required. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations.

Job Summary
This is a full-time, faculty term appointment within Emergency Medical Technology program. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities.
