Job Summary

Support the Stewardship and Financial Integrity of University Endowments and Trusts

The University of Kentucky is seeking an Accountant Financial Analyst Senior to join the University Financial Services team.

This position plays a key role in supporting the university’s fiduciary and stewardship responsibilities related to endowments, trusts, and gift accounting. The role provides technical financial expertise, manages critical reporting and accounting functions, supports campus stakeholders, and helps ensure accurate financial records, compliance, and effective administration of endowed funds and charitable giving programs.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare annual and periodic endowment reports, stewardship reports, spending distribution reports, gift reconciliations, and required financial surveys
  • Analyze financial data and reconciliation results, providing concise and accurate reporting for management review
  • Support colleges, business officers, development officers, and other campus partners with endowment accounting policies, procedures, budgeting, and planning activities
  • Review and process endowment account creation and maintenance documentation within SAP while ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with financial statement footnotes, audit support, interim reporting, journal vouchers, and month-end endowment accounting activities
  • Coordinate accounting and administrative activities related to charitable trusts, gift annuities, and external trust agreements
  • Monitor trust and annuity performance, maintain payment schedules, and record related accounting activity in Excel and SAP
  • Identify opportunities to improve endowment-related processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency across the university

Minimum Requirements
