Job Summary
Support Kentucky 4-H Programs Through Administrative Excellence and Statewide Service
The University of Kentucky is seeking an Administrative Assistant for 4-H Online and 4-H Programming to join the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food & Environment’s 4-H units.
This position provides essential administrative and operational support for Kentucky 4-H programs, helping ensure effective service delivery to youth, families, Extension personnel, and program leaders across the state. The role supports 4-H Online operations, financial and registration processes, travel coordination, and program initiatives including Volunteerism and State Fair activities while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service and organizational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate travel arrangements, calendar management, meeting scheduling, and administrative support for the Director and Associate Program Leader.
- Prepare and analyze monthly travel expenses and maintain related records.
- Support financial operations through purchasing card reconciliation, SAP transactions, cash transmittals, and other assigned financial processes.
- Provide first-line customer service and technical support for 4-H Online users, including Extension agents and 4-H families.
- Assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of 4-H Online trainings and events.
- Maintain registration and event tracking spreadsheets for conferences, trainings, and program activities.
- Collect, track, deposit, and receipt registration fees in accordance with university cash-handling policies and procedures.
- Coordinate statewide communications, mailings, and information distribution to Kentucky 4-H Extension personnel.
- Provide administrative and programmatic support for multiple 4-H specialists and programming areas.
- Assist with event registration, on-site fee collection, printing projects, and conference support as needed.

Minimum Requirements
