Job Summary

Support the Integrity and Accessibility of Student Academic Records

The University of Kentucky is seeking a Degree and Enrollment Verification Specialist to join the Office of the University Registrar.

This position plays a vital role in maintaining and safeguarding student academic records while delivering exceptional service to students, families, faculty, staff, and external organizations. The Degree and Enrollment Verification Specialist oversees transcript processing, enrollment and degree verifications, diploma administration, and other critical records services that support student success, compliance, and institutional operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide daily oversight of University Registrar front counter operations and deliver professional, responsive service to constituents.
  • Process transcript requests through the National Student Clearinghouse, including electronic and paper requests.
  • Manage enrollment and degree verification requests and ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Produce official university documents for Apostille and Authentication requests.
  • Coordinate the storage and retrieval of pre-1988 transcripts maintained at an offsite records facility.
  • Order, track, and manage approximately 8,000 diplomas and certificates annually, including replacement, honorary, and In Memoriam diplomas.
  • Monitor diploma-related issues, communicate with students regarding holds, and assist in resolving delivery concerns.
  • Maintain documentation related to permanent academic records and corresponding student communications.
  • Exercise sound judgment when handling confidential academic information and records.

Minimum Requirements
  • Associate’s degree
