The Assistant Director of Student Conduct supports the administration of the college’s student conduct system and promotes a safe, respectful, and accountable learning environment. This position serves as a primary conduct officer responsible for case management, adjudication of alleged violations of the student code of conduct, and implementation of educational sanctions.The Assistant Director collaborates with campus partners to support student accountability, conflict resolution, and behavioral intervention while ensuring fair, equitable, and educational conduct processes. This role assists the Director with policy implementation, prevention programming, and operational management of the Student Conduct Office.
Departmental Leadership
- Serves as the primary conduct officer responsible for investigating and adjudicating alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct. Conducts administrative hearings, determines findings, and assigns appropriate educational sanctions in accordance with institutional policy.
- Manages a high-volume caseload of conduct incidents, ensuring timely case resolution and compliance with procedural standards. Maintains accurate case documentation and records in accordance with institutional policies and applicable regulations.
- Assists the Director in maintaining conduct policies, procedures, and training materials, and overall management of the Student Conduct Office. Supports data tracking and reporting related to conduct cases and trends. Assists with the assessment of conduct programs and initiatives.
Operational Leadership
- Provides leadership to office staff and student employees as appropriate. Serves as the Director’s designee in meetings or conduct processes when necessary. Supports strategic initiatives that promote student accountability and community standards.
- Conducts annual employee evaluations, provides ongoing feedback and coaching, and effectively recommends pay increases, promotions, and other personnel actions. Approves leave and authorizes overtime as appropriate.
- Administers disciplinary actions upon approval and in collaboration with Human Resources (HR). Interprets, explains, carries out, and enforces the College's policies. Provides communication to staff regarding actions and decisions of the board of trustees and administration.
Campus Collaboration
- Provides consultation to faculty and staff regarding classroom behavior concerns and conducts reporting processes. Assists with the development and delivery of educational programming related to community standards, conflict resolution, and academic integrity.
- Supports training and outreach initiatives to increase awareness of reporting procedures and behavioral expectations.
- Collaborates with campus safety, counseling services, disability services, and academic leadership to support coordinated responses to concerning behaviors
Case Management & Student Support
- Meets with students to explain conduct processes, rights, and responsibilities. Provides guidance to students navigating conduct and academic integrity procedures.
- Monitors completion of educational sanctions and behavioral agreements. Refers students to appropriate campus resources, including counseling, advising, tutoring, and student support services.
Academic Integrity Administration
- Plans and coordinates the College’s academic integrity reporting and resolution processes. Adjudicates academic integrity violations and ensures consistent application of institutional policies and sanctions.
- Serves as a resource to faculty regarding academic integrity concerns, reporting procedures, and case consultation. Tracks and monitors repeat violations and trends in academic integrity cases.
- Assists with the development of educational programming related to academic integrity and academic responsibility.
Behavior Intervention & Threat Assessment
- Plans and coordinates operational aspects of the College’s Behavioral Intervention / Threat Assessment Team. Receives and triages reports of concerning student behavior and coordinates appropriate follow-up actions.
- Monitors active behavioral intervention cases and ensures communication among relevant campus partners. Participates in case review meetings and assists with case documentation and follow-up.

Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of professional experience in student conduct, student affairs, behavioral intervention, or related higher education functions.
- State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
- An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework, and experience may qualify a candidate.
