
Educational Assistant - Cafeteria and Recess
Qualifications:
48 College Credits or an Associate's Degree or passed the State Title I Paraprofessional Test
Transcripts issued outside the United States must be evaluated by a recognized, accredited credential evaluation service to determine U.S. equivalency
Ability to effectively supervise and ensure the safety of elementary-aged students during lunch, recess, and transitions
Ability to manage student behavior using positive behavior support strategies and district expectations
Ability to follow established routines, procedures, safety protocols
Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school, childcare, or recreation setting
Ability to foster inclusive, respectful, and engaging play during recess while encouraging positive peer interactions
Basic knowledge of child development and age-appropriate social-emotional support strategies
Extra duties as assigned by the building Principal
Hourly rate: $20.00 per hour

It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations.
