Job Summary

UK HealthCare’s Enterprise Project Management Office for Regional Network Development & Outreach is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a RHTP Senior Project Manager (PM) position. The RHTP Senior PM will oversee projects at UKHC that are in alignment with the goals of the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), with opportunity to improve access to health care for patients. Working at a large, academic medical center, the RHTP Senior Project Manager will have the opportunity to collaborate with leaders across the organization from front line staff to faculty to C-suite. Candidates with healthcare, business development, operations, and process improvement experience are encouraged to apply. The RHTP Senior PM will work with project teams and leads across the organization as well as the state. This role requires frequent interaction, collaboration, planning, and cooperation with senior level UKHC leadership and stakeholders required to develop and deliver projects that meet the RHTP Objectives. This position will operate in a matrixed organization that requires excellent interpersonal skills, persuasion and influencing skills, and the ability to lead large multi-disciplinary teams through significant amount of varied work assignments. NOTE: This is a grant funded, limited time position.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of collaborative work, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office as well as some experience with project management software. Must excel in strategic operations & improvement initiatives.

Preferred Education/Experience

This position requires a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification within one year of hire and 5-8 years of project management experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Master’s Degree preferred.
