JR Estimator- Heavy Civil Construction
What You'll Do
- Assist estimators with quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, and bid submissions
- Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and completeness
- Assist in assembling and cross-checking bidding documents
- Provide CAD drafting, BIM modeling, and takeoff support
- Prepare site plans, grading, elevations, feature lines, and other construction-related drawings
- Create and maintain SketchUp and Revit models
- Prepare graphics and supporting materials for estimating meetings and presentations
- Work with estimators and project teams to complete assigned estimating and drafting tasks
- Help ensure drawings and documents meet company standards and bid deadlines
What We're Looking For
- Approximately 2 years of experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar software preferred
- Basic understanding of construction plans, design, and engineering principles
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Experience or interest in quantity takeoffs and construction estimating
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Desire to build a long-term career in heavy civil construction estimating
