
Program Coordinator, Transfer Student Success
Compensation: $54,700.00
The Program Coordinator of Transfer Student Success delivers direct student-facing services and programming that support students intending to transfer to a four-year institution as well as the Weiler Scholars program. This role serves as a primary point of contact for students utilizing the Transfer Center and Transfer web-based resources, providing individualized and group transfer advisement, coordinating events, and ensuring students receive accurate, timely guidance throughout the transfer process. The Program Coordinator works collaboratively with the Director and Program Manager to support Weiler Scholars as well as implement Transfer Student Success initiatives, support institutional transfer goals, and ensure the Transfer Center functions as a welcoming, accessible resource hub for students and campus partners.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Student Advisement& Transfer Support
- Provides one-on-one transfer advisement to students and Weiler Scholars intending to transfer, including guidance on transfer requirements, timelines, major preparation, application processes, and institutional policies.
- Facilitates group advising sessions and workshops related to transfer planning, university selection, financial aid, and application preparation.
- Assists students in navigating articulation agreements, transfer pathways, and online transfer planning tools.
Student Outreach & Engagement
- Conducts proactiveoutreachtostudentsthroughclassroom visits,tabling, presentations,targetedcommunications,anddigitalengagement
- Buildsandmaintainspositiveworkingrelationships withstudentsparticipating intransferinitiatives, includingBuckeyeBridgeandotherstructured pathways.
- Communicates regularly withadvisors,faculty,andsupportstaffregarding student participation, progress, and available transfer resources.
Program Implementation, Tracking & Documentation
- Implements and delivers Transfer Student Success programming, including workshops, information sessions, university representative visits, and transfer-related events.
- Coordinates event logistics such as scheduling, space reservations, materials, registration, and communication with campus and university partners. Supports the Program Manager and Director in executing signature transfer initiatives and campaigns.
- Tracks student participation, advising interactions, and event attendance using institutional systems. Maintains accurate documentation and contributes data needed for assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provides feedback to the Program Manager and Director regarding trends, student needs, and opportunities to improve services.
Cross-Functional StudentSupport
- Participatesin all-hands-on-deck periods during the semester, which will involve training and performing front-facing student roles such as course registration support, first-semester course recommendation support, new-student onboarding support, graduation, and student-success milestone support.

Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in counseling, higher education, social work, education, or a related field
- Two (2) years of experience in academic advising, student services, transfer services, or higher education programming, preferably in a community college setting.
- State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Data, Analytics, Excel, and Case Management
