Job Description

American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payments provider for businesses of all sizes, with Small Business representing our largest customer segment and a continued area of strategic investment. Within GCS, the Small Business Marketing Team drives acquisition and customer engagement across Charge Cards, Proprietary Lending, Co-Brand Cards, and Small Business Banking products.

The Senior Analyst, Cross Product Marketing will play a critical role in shaping how Small Business Card Members engage with features across the Charge and Credit Card portfolio. This individual will lead end-to-end strategy and execution of customer engagement initiatives that drive awareness, adoption, and sustained usage of Card features such as Virtual Card, iCAP, AutoPay.

This role blends strategic thinking with execution, leveraging data and customer insights to deliver personalized, cohesive customer journeys across email, landing page, and MYCA channels. The Senior Analyst will be instrumental in ensuring Card features are understood as essential tools that help customers utilize their benefits and grow their businesses.

The ideal candidate is a digitally savvy marketer who thrives in a highly collaborative environment, energized by driving measurable business impact. This role partners closely with Product, Analytics, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Marketing Operations, and agency teams to deliver integrated, high-impact campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the Cross-Product marketing strategy, developing a cohesive curriculum that drives awareness, adoption, and sustained usage of Card features across the Small Business portfolio.
  • Lead end-to-end campaign execution, from insight generation and audience segmentation through targeting, creative briefing, legal alignment, and deployment across email and digital channels.
  • Design and deliver personalized, cross-channel customer journeys across email, landing page, and MYCA that drive meaningful engagement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Analytics, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Marketing Operations, and external agencies to shape and execute integrated marketing initiatives.
  • Drive Test & Learn and personalization strategies, including A/B testing, segmentation, and continuous optimization to improve campaign performance and customer experience.
  • Own performance measurement, define KPIs, and translate campaign results into actionable insights and strategic recommendations that deliver measurable business impact.
  • Leverage customer research, campaign insights, and product knowledge to continuously refine messaging, targeting strategies, and engagement approaches.
  • Ensure marketing excellence and compliance, partnering closely with Legal and Compliance teams to deliver customer-centric and compliant communications.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in email and/or digital marketing with a demonstrated ability to drive engagement and measurable business outcomes (financial services experience is a plus).
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end campaigns, balancing strategic thinking with flawless execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Experience with personalization, segmentation, and Test & Learn frameworks to optimize marketing performance.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners in a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and strategic mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, with a focus on helping Small Business customers succeed.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and present recommendations.
